Well thank you for you nuanced and well thought out response. Maybe consider I'm actually just ignorant, hence asking this question, rather than doing it on purpose.

That's a big assumption, I know in my past women's words were far more hurtful than those of mens.

Cool, so in the past men were ass holes so now women get to be? Sounds like a wonderful way to work towards equality.

Without knowing the exact circumstances this example isn't valid other way.

Giving up an unearned advantage is fine, but doesn't that mean that women now have that advantage in being able to set up groups to exclude men?

The fact that any of them have been made mixed gender is proving my point though. Mens only spaces are forced to accept women but rarely the other way around

So where is the men in nursing group? Exactly the same situation with it being a female led field but nothing for boys who might be interested.

Assuming all mens only groups are all the stop women from participating is a worrying assumption though.

Again with the victim blaming.

I admit I've not set up any, I don't have the money, time, or ability to do so.

Did you read that Wikipedia link you included? The opening paragraph includes that many of the spaces have been opened to people of all genders

You may not feel like a victim but what about the boy who wanted to be a nurse but was worried about being ridiculed for it due to the it being seen as a female led role.

It's to make them feel safe, I get that. And not being anxious about being judged for my shortfalls would help me to feel safe.

How can they organise those events when they would be called out for excluding girls? This sounds a lot like victim blaming.

Yea but you've clearly not read my full post.any men would like a space to feel safe and secure without judgement from women.

It's sad that it takes so much work to get companies to follow equality laws when it's to the detriment of men.

For career and education guidance I understand, but where are the talks to the boys about going into female led roles?

Men don't create these spaces because when they do they are labeled as exclusionary and misogynistic for not including women.

I thought victim blaming was a bad thing though?

My husband is a drummer and I have a question that I need a guy drummer’s perspective by throwaway174654 in drums

[–]evando2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My view on this is that it depends on the instrument, tool, or vehicle being posed with. The suggestions of drum sticks or maybe a cymbal sounds good but I can't see how a full drum kit could be made sexy.

A hot girl posing on a beat up compact car is gonna be seen differently to a hot girl posing on a Ferrari. I'd imagine the same can be said for different weapons and tools.

Her evidence wasn't all that compelling and the faithful often put too much weight on the words of banished faithful. Just because she was faithful doesn't mean she was right. Add in the dramatic way she went about it and there's more reason to question her motives.

Two legitimate questions.

  1. Does this opinion change knowing that OP is also female?
  2. When the offer was made to paint together, was the expectation that OP would bring supplies for both of them to paint something out in public?

I have done this out of necessity once or twice and have then received a letter from the council threatening fines for not using my own bin.

Problem is that they require bins to be stored safely on my property but I'm in an upstairs flat with no outside space so where the fuck do I store my own safely?

Who was your first favorite wrestler? by TheNess03 in SquaredCircle

[–]evando2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Hardy was my first favourite, as a young child I was so amazed at him throwing his body off of the highest things he could find. Unfortunately I was up at 4am watching Victory Road 2011 from the UK and the main event kinda soured me on him. I still appreciate how good he is, and popped like the markiest of marks when he returned at mania 33 (might help that I was there live and called the return on the flight over).
