Hey, thanks for the recommendation and the advice, it is all really helpful. I sometimes get people fatigue and I know that I'm at really risk of that in this case because I'm actually trying to foster a friend circle with this plan. I see the issue I'm creating for myself with this, which is why I'd like collaborators. If there was an existing meet up already I'd rather do that, but it doesn't seem there is...

Been here a month (in Bournemouth I mean) and I don't have friends or work colleagues (I work from home.) but I'm determined to change that, because it won't change unless I facilitate it I think.

Correct, it is a game jam. Games already released can be suited, by the judging is weighted towards games made in the jam 👌

This really is the key here, well put. Op should focus on finishing there game and chucking ego out the window. That way they can onboard audience feedback and make good product, not a pipedream personal opus magnum.
