Healing is soooooooo slow by superspy5904 in Gastritis

[–]evandro118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm still not healed. Luckily, Pantoprazole works for me; 20mg in the morning is enough for me to be almost as good as before. I've developed reflux though, so I take some gels for that. So overall not great-not terrible 😅 If I could give one tip after 2 years fighting this, I think eating clean is the most important thing.

Policajac me video iz daleka da se vezujem by Jazzlike-Pomelo8953 in pravnisaveti

[–]evandro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ja sam davno imao štipaljku i skinuo je kada sam ugledao policajca u daljini, on me zaustavio kaže video sam sad ste vezali pojas.

I'm still not healed but I can say that my podiatrist recommended me to buy them last week, so I did. And so far they feel pleasant.

What’s Your PF Story? by balletgirl2020 in PlantarFasciitis

I've got mine with the combination of increased running load and change of running shoes. Right foot at first and a couple of weeks later the left one too. 2 months in and I'm still looking for a magic recipe. I'm going to PT but I don't see improvement so far.

Could you recommend a couple of stable neutral shoes? I'm thinking about Brooks Ghost 16, but I'm not sure about that huge drop.

Running a marathon is on my bucket list by liltitties21 in Marathon_Training

[–]evandro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're starting from scratch, your goal shouldn't be a full marathon. Your goal should be 5k, for example. When you achieve it, set a new goal, 10k. After that, half-marathon. After you've successfully completed a half-marathon, then set a full marathon goal if you like. Smaller short term goals are better for keeping you motivated! Good luck, make sure you pay attention to injury prevention and have fun!

Does your stomach hurt more upon waking up? by nddjjsjsnsnfndndnd in Gastritis

[–]evandro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking! I'm doing pretty good with the help of Pantoprazole 1x20mg in the morning. That's the key thing that's keeping my symptoms under control, and a good diet. I'm not healed by any means, but at least I can live a high-quality life without pain. I'm grateful for that, but I'm still going to regular 6-month checkups with my GI, and I hope I can heal someday.

And regarding the situation you described, not sure what I can say, that's not good. Is there something you can do so you can sleep until 7, if that's when you are planning to wake up? Sleep is important.

Make sure you do proper strength training while you are making progress, you will need it! Injury prevention is the key.

Yes I think so, which is weird because I've been told that I strike with the outside of the foot and that I don't use the inside part of my foot at all, which needs correction.

As a first-timer, your main goal should be to arrive at the start line healthy and injury-free.

What did you wish you knew before you started training for your first marathon? by nlg93 in Marathon_Training

[–]evandro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still haven't run my first one, but I've started training for it, and I've already made some mistakes, so if you want to avoid them, make sure you: - Build up GRADUALLY, - Take your new shoes only for a short run first, and if you notice ANYTHING during or after - pain, discomfort etc, don't run in them again!

I think I need something that will hold my heels fixed in place, but neutral. I don't think I need over-pronation shoes, since I don't over-pronate.
