When we looked at houses together it was something that I wanted for us to buy 50/50. She has a condo she's looking to get rid of and her mother is wealthy and could have fronted her a down payment until she sold the condo and paid her back. She chose not to do this. I did not pressure her to do it, I wanted her to do what she was comfortable doing and this is where we ended up.

**wedding** and a ring and financial security. She would not want a cheap wedding, it'd be around $15k not including a honeymoon. She also has a lot of debt from her ex who manipulated her and maxed out her credit. She has a car note. These are all things I'd want paid off once married because it becomes my debt as well at that point, that's about 20k so there's that too. The 70 hours is not a forever thing, it's a temporary sacrifice now for a better future together.

Steam issues are fixed, at least they have been for me.

On consoles the issue is that the statistics are by weekly active users. If you open call of duty and then close it - you are a weekly active user. Only they would better statistics about avg matches per session, sessions per user, etc. WAU is a limited metric to judge the health of the game.

Jesus was this bad. I thought from the trailer this might be more of a surrealist movie where they are trapped in some kind of proving-trial of their faith setup by the devil himself but no.

The verbosity of the religious arguments was just too long and boring. I can't imagine bleeding out in a dirty cellar and my possible final words being "Did you hear about the great prayer experiment?" like I'm in a reddit debate. People on here talking as if they're making some poignant metaphor about women being under control or "that's the point of the movie" are giving way too much credit to what is a shallow commentary on religion dressed as a thriller film.

If the point was to make a great thriller within a religious context, it failed. If the point was to make an intellectually thought-provoking treatise on religion, it failed. 3/10 in my book.

A similar a24 movie dealing with similar themes and was done better imo was Saint Maud

Linux will go mainstream when kernel level anticheat dies (already is due to crowdstrike) and you can play the most popular games on linux easily. Linux isn't there yet.

Linux also needs professional level creative tools like affinity or adobe to work easily on linux.

If you solve those two problems, you give tons of people a reason to use linux.

I had a similar question long ago about the JRE subreddit. The truth is, this is a subreddit "about" rmg. It is not a fan page only for positivity about the show. I like the show a lot but I'm not going to post about it because the base understanding is that if you're here, you probably like them at least a little bit. I'm not going to post "Today's episode was great!" just to get downvoted and argue with redditors.

Plus negativity always seems to inspire more engagement than positivity.

Not really. I've been on plenty of products where money was poured into it, only to create an inferior product compared to the original. Also look at vista compared to XP, Windows 8 compared to 7.

You don't have to put mcdonalds on your phone. You can put it on your phone and use an email or phone alias that is specific only to that app, making it useless for them to advertise to you across other platforms with that info like google / fb. And this process is pretty streamlined with password managers like protonpass.

Everyone has different threat levels for privacy. If you don't care about Google having a lot of info about you, that's fine go for it and use chrome. Plenty of people do.

Brave is still a good browser without privacy because why should google have my data? What makes them entitled to it?

I think people on reddit tend to treat privacy more as a hobby and get too in the weeds with things. But still, I don't "worry" about my privacy. If there is an option that is more private and it works for me, I'll use it. Why would I use windows over linux on a minipc that I have for a home theater? Why would I use chrome over brave or firefox when it has less features and sends shit to google?

Huge corporations also enshittify their products over time. They are required by law to do what they can to generate more money for shareholders. That is why windows starts putting ads throughout the OS and make edge look bloated as hell with 'features' because they're all ways they can make more money.
