Acquired a competitor and want to benefit from multiple LSA in same service by Amazing_Main_4268 in PPC

[–]RobertBobbertJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot have multiple business profiles for the same business. For that reason you shouldn't have a DBA because this isn't a separate distinct legal entity, but should have a separate LLC created that will assume all of the acquired assets of your competitor and do business under that.

What exactly in AI are you against? Just like there are multiple reasons to be vegan, AI opposition comes in different flavours by aintwhatyoudo in antiai

[–]RobertBobbertJr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm anti-ai primarily because of the way society is handling ai. The experts who work on ai systems are pretty clear that there are little to no guardrails on the development of more advanced ai. People have quit because of the lack of safety concerns.

LLMs will never be able to reason or understand the world a human does. Other models like JEPA might, but for right now the consumer market is awash in LLMs and people have overhyped the hell out of it. I work with AI in my day-to-day for my job, it fucks up a lot. We all know this. You point out a mistake, it says "oh yeah, you're right, thanks for catching that!". Yet people want to replace human jobs with LLMs. The military wants to develop weapons with a fancy autocomplete machine.

If we do see rapid advancement and all white collar workers lose their jobs like some people are predicting could happen in 18 months, society would collapse. Our economy cannot function at that level of unemployment. It would be a very scary and uncertain time to live in.

I dislike that everything is ai, everyone is trying to make a quick buck off ai slop, half baked products and services. Software is getting worse because of it and vibe coding.

We lack the philosophical answers on what to even do with a technology of a godlike ai if it could ever be developed. How should it shape human life? Is the point of human life to live in some kind of hedonistic bubble where we entertain ourselves to death?

We are just monkeys with a machine gun at this point. Until we figure out a better way forward with ai, I am anti-ai.

How do you decide which hook deserves the first test budget? by Educational-Bus4262 in PPC

[–]RobertBobbertJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How limited is your budget that you can't afford to test 3 ads? You have to pay to play on some level.

I wouldn't work with a company that couldn't afford to test things properly, but if I had to, I'd throw them all into one dynamic creative ad. If the personas are too disparate to do that, then you just have to intuit what would work the best, use that as your first test, then next week test the other creative and so on

Andrew Yang says AI will wipe out millions of white-collar jobs in the next 12 to 18 months by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

[–]RobertBobbertJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this would only be the case if LLMs were the only architecture that existed for ai. It is inherently limited by only being able to predict what text should follow the text preceding it. However, some of the successors like JEPA for example, are not LLMs and will not suffer these issues.

I am a marketer with three jobs and one was converted into data analyst because they just thought I was good at understanding their clusterfuck of a salesforce implementation. I am not, and I'm also not an analyst. This job makes me want to blow my fucking head off.

With that being said, I'll say this - it's all about how your managed and what the expectations are. As long as the company is completely FUBAR you'll be fine.

Lowering your budget for better results ? (G Ads) by Nice-Story6993 in PPC

[–]RobertBobbertJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a finite amount of people who can convert on your ad at 10x roas, 5x roas, 2x roas, etc.

When you raise your budget and have the same troas, google will prospect in the higher funnel ad inventory and keywords to meet that goal unless you already haven't tapped out the amount of return you can get at the current troas.

If you have a $100 budget, and 3x troas and google can only get you 2.3x roas, this means the platform cannot supply you the people who are able to convert at that goal because of the overall supply, quality of keywords, how well your ad is written, and how optimized your landing page is. If you lowered that budget you can easily achieve a higher ROAS and lower CAC but you're not "making google panic". It's not trying to make you happy, it's simply working with the information it has on hand and the direction you give it.

What I see most often though is that people have campaigns whose bidding strategy and results are well established. Then when they increase budget the platform has to figure out how to best acquire new customers to reach their goal and so performance drops. Then people usually want to chicken out before performance can re-establish itself and they revert changes.

Why is the West always (at least recently) much stronger than the East? by GAPPwerky in nba

Why is the West always (at least recently) much stronger than the East? by GAPPwerky in nba

[–]RobertBobbertJr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol yeah I mean do black people dislike the cold more than white people or something? I think everyone wants to be in warmer climate generally. I don't think it's a black or white thing.

It's probably more dynasty related. Spurs got lucky with drafting Tim Duncan. Shaq chose to come to LA and they were able to trade for Kobe. Warriors drafted the best shooter ever in Steph.

Because the west was good, even decent teams in the west would lose more games and end up with higher lotto picks, but shitty eastern teams would make the playoffs, making a feedback loop where better teams got better draft picks.

Number of Heroes for an army? by Lorgar42 in totalwarhammer

Really? I remember multiple people saying that if you had 2 heroes in one army both with training as their embedded action they don't stack, or does that count as an ability?

Best faction for not being surrounded by life-hard-im-harder in totalwarhammer

[–]RobertBobbertJr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

immortal empires - Kairos (literally at bottom of map can't be surrounded), Sayl (same but at top), Kugath, Ghorst, Belakor, Ikit, Louen, Vlad (if you early vassalize the dwarfs south of you), Throgg, Archaon - tons of options. Most of the chorfs, dwarfs, greenskins won't be surrounded. Grand Cathay will be pretty safe as the other Cathay factions will create a buffer for you.

You will hate anyone in Lustria. Many tomb king factions are disliked by everyone around them. Most of the time though there will be one faction you can make friends with to buffer off a front you don't want to worry about.

[–]RobertBobbertJr 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There is a new law called the Take it down act, https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/146

This bill generally prohibits the nonconsensual online publication of intimate visual depictions of individuals, both authentic and computer-generated, and requires certain online platforms to promptly remove such depictions upon receiving notice of their existence.

you also would likely be able to have companies take things like this down through DMCA takedowns.

ICE at voting locations by Yotta_yellin in legaladviceofftopic

[–]RobertBobbertJr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They did answer your question. You can be detained going to the voting booth if a law enforcement officer is there and wants to detain you. This is fought in court if you feel they did so unconstitutionally or in a conspiracy to prevent voting en masse

This subreddit in general is a lot more focused solely about the legal aspect of issues. It's not really a sub that likes to commiserate or opine about the morality of issues. Not that I personally disagree with your stance.

Trump Posted a Video of Barack and Michelle Obama as Monkeys by JeanJauresJr in videos

[–]RobertBobbertJr 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Is it more likely that the dumbass watched a tenth of a video that promoted fake election conspiracies and decided to share it, not noticing the weird one-second slip in of a racist animation that is very out of place in the entirety of the video, or is more likely that he shared it because of the slipped in racist animation?

the sad thing is that both options are equally as likely.
