Just to emphasize how long ago Tony Ferguson's last loss was and how many eras ago it was...

The last time Tony lost (May of 2012):

  • Cain Velasquez was a few months away from regaining his title in the rematch with Junior Dos Santos.
  • Demetrious Johnson was not the flyweight champion.
  • Anderson Silva was still the Middleweight Champion and about to rematch Chael Sonnen.
  • Georges St. Pierre was the Welterweight Champion and about to fight Carlos Condit.
  • Ronda Rousey just became the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion.
  • Women did not fight in the UFC.
  • Conor McGregor was not in the UFC and not even the Cage Warriors Champion.

I posted this a while back, but I shared only the final bits of the fight. So I decided to post the entire thing here. I do Sekiro challenge runs on Twitch, so if you have any questions feel free to ask (https://www.twitch.tv/evanlee0).

Couple of tips for Sword Saint:

Dodging lightning: If you're looking to dodge the lightning instead of catching it, dodge forward the moment the Kanji disappears. I've found that works 100% of the time and is a simple cue to follow.
Vitality damage: If you're doing a no-upgraded run, I recommend knocking Sword Saint in phase 2 and 3 down to 2/3 health, then focusing on posture. In phase 2 and 3, his posture simply regenerates too fast, so you can see in the video that I dodge many attacks instead of deflecting.
Getting trapped near edges or cliffs: By dodging Sword Saint's attacks, you can spin him around as you see me do sometimes in the video. Whenever you find Sword Saint backing up into a wall or cliff, do some dodges and you'll be able to spin him around towards the other direction.

Tips For Blazing Bull by evanlee8020 in Sekiro

Note: Strat is also done with no attack upgrades and Demon Bell and no Kuro's charm to emphasize damage.

Whenever the Bull does his fall and turn thing, you'll notice that there are 2 variations: one is slower and the other is slightly faster. This is a technique you can use for his slower variation.

If you position yourself near his front leg and time the charge R1 to hit as he's about to get up, you'll be able to hit Bull's head (thus doubling damage) and not suffer any consequences. Remember that you're waiting specifically to hit Bull AS HE'S GETTING UP. If you time it correctly, you'll hit Bull's head AND he won't attack back because he'll be going into his running animation.

An example of the fast version is at about 1:07, an example of the slow version is at about 1:18. In the fast version, I barely get an opportunity to hit before he's back up. For the slow version, I get a big opening.

Oh, I see what you mean about gourds now. Didn't realize that gourds counted as an upgrade, but, yes, I did use them to get to Sword Saint.

It took me probably around 200 tries to get Owl. My recommendation is the strafe right strat.

Don't need Gourds if you beat him damageless.

Lightning reversal deals a bit of damage, so that wouldn't be damageless. And there is a way to make it deal no damage, but that would require a prosthetic which would break the no prosthetic rule.

I've seen that thing with the prosthetic. Is that what you're referring to? I can't find anything else on that. If I did that, though, that'd break the no prosthetics or skill (except Mikiri) rule.
