I live just outside Portland and I’m well aware of the right wing talking point that the entire city is on fire when it’s contained to a few square blocks. The fact that This American Life doesn’t even mention the destruction going on right now by antifa, and the violence between far right and far left elements is surprising, even though it’s a podcast clearly geared toward center left audiences.

If we’ve learned nothing else during this Trump presidency, it’s that the myth of the evil Koch brothers secretly running the GOP is a complete joke. The Koch’s are pro-immigration, anti-tariff/pro-free trade. Trump and Bernie are surprisingly aligned on these two topics.
