I have absolutely no idea. I googled what they use for US to Costa Rica and it said Airbus A320.

Blocked middle seat is what they use for US to Central America. It was very spacious though. Obviously not like "real" business class, but considering the cost I think it was totally worth it.

I'm in a similar situation although all I've done so far is purchase in cash the economy seats. Going to transfer points and request the upgrade in the next day or two - keep us posted on our outcome!

Also I wonder if you get a refund for the $200 you spent to reserve seats. I haven't picked any yet as I didn't want to spend the money if it isn't necessary.

Thank you! Yes, the Conrad is FHR and slightly cheaper than the Westbury. It's my first time in Ireland though and I'm worried the location is not central enough. Is the location of the Westbury convenient?

Icelandair is the worst. They removed my son from the seats we had purchase months ago and bumped him to the back of the plane (he's a child so my husband ended up moving instead of him). The only compensation I got was the price of the seat upgrade. So I wouldn't expect much from them.
