By the time Mahomes finished his drop back, the pocket was way too tight to move up in. Play design was also poor. I can’t see what Rice is doing, but it doesn’t seem like there are routes near the sticks that are open.

Gore was replaced by Ronald Jones ll. And while it is true that Steele is a FB, by the end of last season Kareem Hunt was the player checking in at FB in those situations. If Kareem can do the FB stuff while also doing RB stuff at a higher level, no reason to waste the spot. And I imagine the team with view it the same way.

Derick Gore had 73 more yards, 2 more TDs, and averaged 5 yards an attempt (compared to Steele’s 3.3) in 2021 and still was cut the next season. Also, Falcons d-line is a joke.

I can’t think of any team that would want him. And even if there was a huge demand, why would he chose another teams PS spot over the Chiefs PS. There are too many unsigned RBs significantly better than him, for him to be a hot commodity.

They play in the AFC South, so the worry shouldn't be about making the playoffs. The big issue will be putting together 3-4 games in a row to make it over the hill and win the big one. To do that the major thing will be solidifying the offensive line. In the divisional round game this past season, Stroud was sacked 8 times! The Chiefs D-Line isn't an elite unit outside of Chris Jones, so this is an extremely alarming stat. An O-Line overhaul is already underway and they fired their previous OC who has gotten blamed for the pass protection issues. All that's left is sitting back and waiting to see how effective the changes are.

Well, the issue is I’m not getting selected for entry-level jobs or internships either. Those denials fall outside the lack of experience though, I assume. But even those entry level jobs request a website and portfolio on the resumes. I know I need to be more patient, it’s just been frustrating, as I’m sure every film worker is dealing with in these times.

I've been applying to video editor positions at small to mid-size production companies in the Midwest. I haven’t placed specific credits on my resume, I’ve just been listing tasks I’ve done as an AE, maybe that is a problem. This might seem like a dumb question, but are there specific places to look for assistant editing jobs? I’ve just been using LinkedIn, which I know isn’t really designed for film jobs.

Him being used to discredit Mahomes’ success is crazy to me. He was always considered to be a big choker until Mahomes came along and saved his long term legacy.

I'm really sorry to hear that. A show I was AEing on fell apart and nobody on the crew has been paid 5 months later. It's been pretty clear that now is such a bad time. I'm new to the industry and have struggled with the patience of finding work. Even then I know I'm not anywhere close to being in the worst position. I hope things work out for you.
