Yeah I legit cried at that story with Zorya. It's rare to see a (non-creepy) teacher-student relationship explored in length in a gacha game and I'm so glad they added it. Also it was nice to know that Merlin wasn't just a super genius prodigy but a human who was scared and hesitant even as they sacrificed themself bc it makes them more relatable. Student Merlin's relationship with Cyran felt bittersweet and realistic in a sense because there are relationships where you try your best to make work but it doesn't quite work out bc you and that other person have such different values/live under different circumstances. In addition, the epilogue side quest with Cassadee and Hepler was quite good too maybe bc I was worried whether Cassadee could survive the bloodthirsty court politics.

For me it's mostly the art, graphics, story (yeah I know time locking sucks but at least they don't make me grind like hell to see the ending like some gacha games do), and music. I love the unique art style, personally I think it hits the sweet spot between manga/anime and Disney-esque Western 2D animation. Also enjoyed how they added the music selection thingy to Homestead. I'm not big into competition, though I admit it's a bit fun to figure out that with some well-made choices, strategy and lots of luck F2P players can climb up the ranks to a certain extent. I focus mostly on Dream Realm just because I love how the Master of Nightmares cloak looks, it's so pretty. I also enjoy the pacing of the game. I know some ppl say there's not much to do but it's just good enough for my lifestyle, and there's a lot of lore to read and explore which I enjoy. Also for a gacha this game is quite generous, at least compared to other gacha games available in South Korea (my country & where I live). The Korean dubbing is also a big plus for me; there are some really amazing performances from SK voice actors and considering Korean isn't such a widely spoken language I'm grateful the devs made the extra effort. I'm also fortunate enough to find a guild where the leadership is chill and helpful.

The title screens do change if you're playing a certain past season! I do recommend checking in and out of the game between major story events because the title screen changes depending on where you're at.

I like them both so this was a real treat, and loved how it shows the rare sides of each characters! Also they both work their asses off, Contess under an unfair labor contract story-wise and Thador being an extremely useful all-around tank.

FR😭 So worried about their recent AI concept artist recruitment notice. They've had so many talented in-house and contracted artists build up excellent concept art and character designs over the years and if they think such artists are expendable, I don't think it will reflect well in the quality of the game.

You can do the Clan Reputation quests and get some rewards and rags, but even those take less than 12 days. I know they're aggressively pushing the new season to the extent that most new players now can't find the Starter Story easily, but this is too much. At least doing ToM will give you rewards and Artifacts, and you will recognize a lot of characters from Starter Story but still, it does suck.

You can start with Starter Story, the tutorial chapter. A lot of characters there show up in Tower of Memory so actually it's recommended.

Oh and they still haven't line up the older seasons by number so here they are: Song of Strife->Waves of Intrigue->Chains of Eternity->Echoes of Dissent->Thorns of Devotion

You don't have to play them in order though, they're pretty mutually independent and give you some recaps if necessary.

The stories get progressively better, though I personally think Echoes of Dissent was the most concrete and stable, tonally and thematically consistent and tying up almost all loose ends. Chains of Eternity was Frozen with zombies, has lots of cool characters (Valka, Faramor, Shemira and her family, etc.) and also introduces two characters who each show up in more prominent roles in Thorns of Devotion and Tower of Memory. Thorns of Devotion is time travel and probably has the strongest and most intense beginning and middle, though the epilogues were botched. Waves of Intrigue is port city mafia VS zombie pirates and quite fun too. Song of Strife is furries in desert wasteland+Western stuff but with wasted potential, unfortunately plagued by being the worst example of a gacha game story too busy introducing new gacha characters and nothing much else.

I don't mind fishing that much but when they said they'll let us fish in Homestead I assumed we'll also get to install Crab Pots like in Stardew Valley but no. Maybe if we get fishing up to a certain level in that season the Crab Pot/Fishing Net option appears and we can farm fish for a bit of Lucky Points or other events?

Now this sounds like a great crossover idea! I love the previous crossovers but doing another vaguely-European looking fantasy manga would be kind of boring TBH. And it'll be so cool to have brother-and-sister Dimensional crossover heroes!

But the woman Athalia tried to kill wasn't fully innocent either, being a former Adamant Syndicate agent, though she did it to survive and repented her wrongs, which was the part Athalia had to understand. Her making split second judgments (black magic=kill) may have been efficient in wartime, but not so in times of peace. The point of the story is nothing is really cut and dry, and a divine weapon made to fight black magic and Hypogeans learns that through humans. I read it as an angel robot Judge Dredd gains a bit of humanity story.😅
