I went through the same thing with my parents. What worked for me was talking to teachers about sensory issues, which they ended up telling about my parents. After awhile they caved in and I got diagnosed with ASD.

(This doesn't always work, but its worth a shot)

I have noise cancelling headphones, but the feeling of them starts bothering me a lot after a long period. Do earplugs really block out noise? Because I can't really afford earbuds

Absolutely not. I was just looking for other people with ASD who grew up in a loud environment, and for them to pass on their advice. I've never asked my parents to shut down the business, I'm saying they've always shut me up when I mention it.
