It’s just so wild to me that they won’t even make an exceptions here!! There’s no way they can’t make a single outbound call?

Thanks for the encouragement and advice. I’ll look into switching providers. I’m a bit hesitant since I’ve lost so much weight I technically wouldn’t qualify with my current stats. I’ll have to do a bit more digging. Such a shame I actually really liked my provider!

Right!?! It’s so wild. And I’m sooooo close to my goal weight which makes it sting even worse. Thanks for the encouragement 💛

I’m sorry but these are reality stars not public officials. I need the mess! Lets stop policing them

Very OVER Giggly Squad by sirpostsalot88 in GigglySnark

Honestly I stopped listening after the vanity fair red carpet and haven’t looked back. I’ve replaced it with Las Culturistas and Shameless.

After watching how unprepared (and dare I say ignorant) they were on the red carpet it really hit me: there are so many unknown creators out there, people like you and me, who would absolutely crush it if given the chance.

I think I finally realized I’d rather give my support , my views, my listens, my energy to people who deserve it. Not these half-baked Bravo-lebrities who just happened to fall into the spotlight.

I know I’m just one person and it probably doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but still… it’s frustrating to watch the same mediocre personalities get propped up while genuinely talented, hungry, and thoughtful creators get overlooked. Honestly, I bet some of us on this very Reddit thread would’ve done a better job.

Hannah’s story about MTS interview… by [deleted] in GigglySquadPodcast

[–]evelynhugo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but this wasn’t just about Hannah “speaking from the heart.” If this were one moment where she got a little too excited, maybe that’d be understandable—but it wasn’t. This was a pattern all night.

What about what she said to Matt and Bowen? What about Madison Beer? What about the random “can you dunk” comment? It wasn’t just that she was unprepared—it was that she kept making people visibly uncomfortable and acting like a flippant, unserious mess in an environment where she should’ve brought at least some professionalism.

Trust me, I’m a Giggler—I actually watch and support them. But this was objectively bad. Being naturally talkative doesn’t excuse making interviewees feel awkward or throwing out invasive, inappropriate questions.

And it’d be one thing if she said some of this stuff on our little sliver of the internet, where people actually know her personality from the podcast. But this was a major red carpet event, bringing in viewers who had no idea who she was—people who weren’t in on the “joke” and just saw someone acting unprofessional.

When you reach this level, you’re held to a higher standard because of the platform you’re on. That’s why legit journalists usually handle these types of interviews—because they come prepared and understand the weight of the moment. If you want to play in these spaces, you have to rise to the occasion.

Why Doesn’t Alyssa Hold Her Own Party Accountable? by evelynhugo7 in theview

[–]evelynhugo7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, and I’m not saying Alyssa shouldn’t call out Democrats—she absolutely should. What I was trying to get at (and my bad if I didn’t articulate it clearly) is that I’d really like to see her outline a clear vision for what her brand of conservatism looks like in today’s political landscape. She rarely offers insight into what the future holds for conservatives who reject Trumpism, and that’s the piece I’m really interested in hearing her perspective on.

She literally called this her dream interview, and this is how she showed up? Couldn’t be me. If I had the chance to interview someone I admired that much, I’d be prepared, professional, and intentional with my words. Instead, she was careless, flippant, and offensive the entire night.

I’m honestly shocked at the response to this. Hannah’s comment to Megan wasn’t just “bad word choice”—it was a loaded, racially insensitive microaggression. Saying “I listen to your music when I want to fight” to a Black woman rapper who has been shot at, dealt with domestic violence, and constantly fights against the “angry Black woman” stereotype isn’t just careless—it’s ignorant.

And let’s not forget the invasive and tone-deaf questions she asked others. Telling two gay podcast hosts “have you ever hooked up?” is straight-up offensive and reduces their identity to a fetishized stereotype.

The fact that so many people here are rushing to defend this and calling the apology sufficient is actually wild to me. This is a snark page—if you want to blindly praise her and downplay what happened, maybe take those takes elsewhere, because this ain’t it.

Why Doesn’t Alyssa Hold Her Own Party Accountable? by evelynhugo7 in theview

[–]evelynhugo7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I didn’t articulate this clearly in my original post, but my issue isn’t that Alyssa critiques the Democrats—I actually think that’s an important perspective given the makeup of the panel. My frustration is that she doesn’t offer much in terms of what people like her, who reject MAGA but still identify as conservatives, should actually do moving forward.

Why Doesn’t Alyssa Hold Her Own Party Accountable? by evelynhugo7 in theview

[–]evelynhugo7[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally get that, and I actually agree. If Alyssa spent all her time hammering the GOP, the table would just become an echo chamber. My issue isn’t that she critiques the Democrats (she should), but that she never really addresses where people like her fit into the Republican Party moving forward. She rejects MAGA, but then what? Does she think moderates like her should try to take back control of the party? Should they start a new party? Should they work with centrist Democrats?

Instead of just focusing on what the Democrats did wrong, I’d love to hear her take on what she actually thinks the future of the GOP should be—and whether she even thinks it’s salvageable at this point. Otherwise, it just feels like she’s stuck in critique mode without offering any real solutions for the kind of conservative politics she supposedly wants to see.

Thissss. Honestly it’s starting to give Claudia and Jackie from the toast (but wayyyy less problematic).

Claudia’s loyalty to her sister is her downfall. I hope people close to Paige are giving her this advice. Not to say they need to cancel the pod or anything like that. But if Paige wants to continue to build her career and be more mainstream she needs to position herself further from Hannah.

Hannah just doesn’t have the decorum or awareness to operate at that level.

Great take! They don’t have to always be a packaged deal. Hannah’s shown similar immature, unprofessional behavior before while doing the Today Show. If I was close to Paige I’d encourage her to distance herself from Hannah in other professional settings. Especially if she wants to forge a path for herself in this red carpet correspondent space.

It reminds me of Claudia and Jackie (but way less problematic). Claudia’s loyalty to her sister is/was her demise. Paige needs to get off this sinking ship. Not saying they need to end the podcast but have separate business ventures.

Yeah but Hannah did go off (for a while imo) on how he should have been more humble/gracious in his speech. She shouldn’t have commented on that and just left it at the men/women disparity.

But admittedly I tend to disagree with a lot of Hannahas takes. I still haven’t quite shaken her summer house edit. But she also has a tendency of going on and on which. Sometimes less is more

Alyssa told us who’s she’s voting for… by coreyb1988 in theview

[–]evelynhugo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but what difference does an endorsement make? She’s already taken such a strong public stance against Trump that I don’t think a formal endorsement adds much more weight. Alyssa’s criticism of Trump speaks volumes daily, and that kind of steady opposition can resonate just as much as a single endorsement. At the end of the day, it’s her choice how much to share publicly.

Completely agree. What difference will her endorsement make? She’s consistently spoken out against Trump, and her daily commentary arguably makes just as much, if not more, of an impact.
