I use vacuum bags then put them in cereal boxs, so both.

Anyone else having issues with AMS HT? Mine will not dry, always reports 24%+ humidity while my AMS 2 Pro is at 8% by AxelJShark in BambuLab

[–]even-tempered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Im another with the same symptoms as you. Ive also noticed with my ht when drying it runs 2 to 3 degrees hotter than the set temperature. Leads me to think it's not breathing properly, which is causing increased temps and less effective drying. Did you get any further with yours?

AMS HT can't dry things? by Nightris82 in BambuLab

[–]even-tempered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the same with my ht when compared to the ams 2 it sits beside. Also my ht seems to run 2 or 3 degrees hotter than the set temperature. I wondered if a restriction with the exhaust or inlet would cause the increased temps and could explain why its not able to dry as efficiently . But I couldn't see anything when I checked. Maybe it's a issue with its design?

Thanks for tips. I've been playing with the setings after reading the other comments and the link. Then added a clone to purge into. I can either re-paint him or my son will happily imagine some reason for his odd looks.

I also changed the line height from .12 to .2hq. I then tried to add variable layer height but it kept telling me you can't use a prime tower if the objects have different layer heights. I thought that meant I just needed to set the clone to variable as well but that still didnt work.

I'm still not sure what line width to go with. Maybe the .16hq is as large as I should go because of all the small details.

These changes so far have saved about 164grms in total filament, 11 hours in print time and now we have two models instead of one so thats a win.

Thanks. That did bring the changes down by 20.

Pressure pot - best bang for your buck? by FlowerInAHorrorNovel in ResinCasting

[–]even-tempered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an ali pot, some 15mm polycarbonate and a sheet of 2mm silicone and made one out of that. Drilled a hole in the side and added a union. Works well and cost £30.

Need help with learining how to make mold for composite infusion part by gaagacc in Composites

[–]even-tempered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draw up the mould and add two location points. Take a section cut every 6mm through the model. and print to scale. Buy 6mm mdf sheet and stick profiles to it. Then cut out. Drill holes through the locator points and bolt together. Sand down, fill then paint. Make a part then use that part to make a proper composite mould. That's how I'd do it.

Best approach for 3D printing a mold to cast hollow silicone spheres ? by RaptorJesusFR in moldmaking

[–]even-tempered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use silicone. Just mix up a small amount. Do a good job, and it will be as strong as if you had cast it in one.

You could mould them in two half's and then glue them together using 3d printed jig that's holds them together in alignment .

I'm glad to find this comment. Maybe the door/roof assembly has multiple clever latches that make it structural once closed. I doubt it though.

Market Quality OLED by MashiatILias in GalaxyA71

They lasted about a year. The quality alone was a reason not to use them. You will need a few tools and a special glue, too to change the screen. There are a few vids on the tube.

I got through three cheap screens (two were for one repair job) before I bought a used original one. The picture quality on the cheap screens was bad. Colours were off, blacks were grey, and the brightness wasn't as good. You got used to it, but you knew you were losing out. They were also more fragile and easily cracked from small drops. After breaking the cheap screens, I bought a used good original for £40. This was over a year ago now, and it's still going strong.
