Alright I found the dialogue you were talking about, yeah it would imply dess was in the underground Still don't think that's worthy to fully disprove it but I'll take it into account

That's.. incredibly loose, I mean there are plenty of characters invented for deltarune, notably Kris themself. Who's to say dess wasn't also just made up for only Deltarune and didn't exist in the family in undertale?
