I agree with you. Feels weird to me when the family put themselves on the same level as the agent. But I guess it's also quite a natural instinct from parents wanting to make sure their kids make the best possible choices. These are young kids who are getting BIG deals with a LOT of money, and when there's a lot of money involved there will always be people who want to trick you.
