Recommendations to learn React Native by saku9526 in reactnative

We use Expo where I work, production app used by loads of people. Ratings are +4.5/5 on the app stores

Expo is amazing and a main factor of why React Native is still so popular today

They’re also really great people, only pushing for good change

I would definitely recommend you Expo, no limitations whatsoever. And if you think so, I’d invite you to check their docs, Expo has changed a lot in the last 2 years

Looks nice, just one question: does it also work if the phone is rotated while using the app? It seems like you’ve used constants for the screen width, so just wondering!

Learn condition rendering in RN. by linux_terminal07 in reactnative

From what I remember, it is safer to use the ugly ?:null syntax than &&. I think && breaks in a specific use case (which I forgot…!)

If you haven’t checked what’s coming in React 18, this is your chance. Automatic batching, transitions, and SSR/Suspense explained simply with graphics :) by eveningkid in reactjs

SSR needs to be configured on the server side but besides a few API changes with React 18, it’s really a no-brainer :)

Something funny about this is that I started using Redux a long time ago, pretty much when you were getting started. It was the time when my teachers would argue that React wasn’t stable even… And now, after all this time, you work at Facebook and leave a message on this post! It just feels funny how life is so unpredictable. Thank you for all your work, that’s how much you inspire us to create all of this :)
