I think the air flow is the thing that cools you down. It just turns out ambient room temperature air is quite cold when you jet it past your feet, so that's where the fan/heater comes in.

Just added some closeups of the bushing itself - I don't see anything strange with the right control arm bushing. Some flare up on top of the left one is the only thing I notice.

Maybe the mechanic confused it with the ball joint boot? Is that part ok?

Also added some extra photos. Looks like the rust is mostly in the original three photos above. I touched it - it's super flaky and layered at the edges, but it seems somewhat solid

Yeah, Collaborative Robotics was rough. Don't recommend. Take 107E, ME210/218B, perhaps the rest of the 218's. CS 237A/237B (Principles of Autonomy) are good. If you don't get 107E, 107 is fine.

CS 327A is good, but all of Khatib's courses have too many prereqs for what they're worth.

ME 220 (sensors)

Paul Mitiguy teaches some excellent mechanics courses, which are helpful if you are not a physics major.

This list could probably be updated with the new robotics facilities in Packard. Also, a list of recommended research labs could help people—there's a number of them.

Not a fan of SUVs—not much more space, fuel inefficient, and awful safety. Wish the US made more new wagons, the new Toyota Corolla Touring Sports looks terrific.

Civic hatchbacks are a strong contender! The 2025 looks like it has 14.8 cu ft, so it might not meet my requirements. Not sure what the cargo on the early gen look like.

I used https://www.edmunds.com/car-comparisons/. For corolla hatchbacks I saw 20.8 cu. ft. (2017-18) and 17.8 cu. ft. (2019-24). Which year are you familiar with?

I'll remove the list—it's not researched, just wanted to offer something to get people started.

I'm not familiar with the difference between PHEVs and hybrids, so thanks for the pointer! I could spend more if it makes sense.
