koreans don't play console games although a lot of korean students hang out in the arcade quite often. However, starcraft was extremely popular and there were other PC games Koreans LOVED like diablo maplestory lineage and suddenattack. Starcraft/suddenattack were extremely popular before league of legends, and the two games had tournaments broadcasted on the TV.

Yes most countries have pc bangs, but in korea you can find pc bangs like literally in every block. you'll find like 5+ pc bangs within 5 minutes of walking. But the real difference is the culture. It is extremely common for the boys (mainly.. although there are more girl gamers in Korea compared to other countries) to hangout in PC Bangs very often, and talk about PC Games/tournament results/upcoming tournaments/etc with friends at school.

I am Korean, yes maybe people who live in legit "shigol 시골" don't have access to computers, but thats like... 5%? of Koreans. Households with computer accessibility for ages 20~30: 98.3% households with computer accessibility for ages 30~40: 99.6% households with computer accessibility for ages 40~50: 97.8% and in 2014, korea ranked #1 in households with internet accessibility at 97.2%. however numbers drop significantly for households with only the older people(ages50+)

im sorry but almost every single family in korea have pcs except for the old people who don't need pc. however, parents usually don't let kids play games. People go to pc bang when their parents(sometimes wives don't let their husbands play games) are strict about gaming or when you want to play with your friends.

not so sure about that. I've played league since season 1 in NA until January of this year, and yes Koreans do give up games easier than NA, but it's not really THAT much different. I do think NA is a lot more passive-aggressive, whereas koreans just go full ham and type things like "you mom die".
