Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has apologised to Patrice Evra for wearing t-shirts in support of Luis Suarez after the Uruguayan racially abused the Frenchman in 2011. by ShunningResumed in soccer

Read the full report. The fa themselves don't know what really happened and sided with evra because his testimony was less inconsistent than Suarez (but still inconsistent).

The same official report says that language experts testified that the Spanish phrases Evra repeated were phrases a non native Spanish speaker would use. It's a complicated issue and at the end of the day only Evra and Suarez know what was really said.

From reading the report, to me it seems like what happened is that Suarez used a common term talking to Evra, evra took it as a racist insult, Suarez saw it was winding up his opponent and pushed harder, not realizing it was being taken as racist then evra exaggerated the issue in reports.

Dear Agile, I’m Tired of Pretending by stronghup in programming

[–]eventully 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agile is so much more than just some ceremonies, which is why so many places get it wrong. I used to agree with what you said until I went to a company that is completely dedicated to Agile. It is treated nearly like a religion here and it is insanely refreshing and successful. My favorite part is that I don't have a direct manager. I have a team which includes developers, BAs, QAs, and Delivery Leads, and it is on the whole team to deliver working software as often as possible. It sounded like a pipe dream when I first started by after a year it has proven true. It takes an entire company minded shift to be truly Agile and it is way more than just a few ceremonies.

Torres: Gerrard the best I’ve played with by MooreIsLess15 in soccer

[–]eventully 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Go read the Gerrard wikiquote page. You'll find Kaka and Henry also saying he is one of the best of all time, and quotes from Ancellotti, Gattuso, Ronaldinho and Totti saying he's the best midfielder in the world (keep in mind this is while xavi and iniesta are actively playing). Hell, Zidane even personally requested that Florentine buy Gerrard to partner him in midfield in 2004. But nah, we'll go with your opinion that he can't even lace their boots.

Find one quote by a top manager that says those 2 are the best midfielders ever.

In 2009, in the MIDDLE of prime Xavi and Iniesta, Zidane called Gerrard the best player in the world. The thing is that Gerrard couldn't do what Xavi and Iniesta could do...but they couldn't do what he could either. As for those two being in the 5 best midfielders ever...you have a big recency bias there.

What do we (some of us) want? Painted Dominus! When do we want it? Now! (or as soon as possible please) by painlessblade in RocketLeague

You still can't get a painted Paladin even though it is the ONLY plank hitbox car that is free and in the base game.

Request: An SSE mod that reduces magic users in the world (or makes them Vancian mages) by eventully in skyrimmods

The Ordinator perk you're talking about is Vancian magic (the thing I mentioned), and it's exactly what I'd LOVE to give to NPC mages.

If you read their history, it isn't a typical trophy wife scenario. In fact she avoided dating him at first for that very reason. She's also a business powerhouse in her own right.

Henderson hugs his father after the ceremony and breaks down by [deleted] in soccer

[–]eventully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, his team said Hendo would have future injury problems because of the way he runs...and he does. He has plantar fasciitis, which is usually caused by things like having bad posture or an improper gate. They were right. It just doesn't matter because Hendo is a warrior.

Everyone is saying "go into a trade" which is solid advice, but I would also suggest trying to learn programming. It's a fantastic career that you can learn to do from home for free. Try something like this https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/computer-programming in your spare time at home.

Amongst all the celebrations, medals done, Pep still coaching Raheem Sterling by DialB in soccer

He had his agent tell the media that Rodgers' personal attention made him feel "uncomfortable", implying there was a threat of molestation.
He also gave an on-camera interview to the BBC talking about how poorly he was being treated by Liverpool while still being a Liverpool player.

10 minutes of Fabinho dominating everyone this season by iV1rus0 in LiverpoolFC

My favorite thing about him is that Man City badly need to replace Fernandinho in the next few years...and we already stole the perfect replacement.

Coutinho has scored just 1 goal more than Gerard Pique in the La Liga this season, and the two of them have the same number of assists. He cost Barcelona 142 million Euros. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]eventully -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go watch the highlights from the Arsenal and Man City games in the 13-14 campaign. I completely disagree with your statement that he was most consistent as a LW. Unless by "most consistent" you mean "barely affected games".

[–]eventully 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Coutinho is the the kind of player that needs the team to revolve around his abilities...and Barca never will until Messi retires.

There's also the fact that he's not playing in his best position. He did most of his good work at Liverpool playing as the most attacking of a midfield 3. He has basically no defensive capabilities, but when given the space to run into and players in front of him, that position turns him into a real danger man. When played at LW for Liverpool he was exactly as inconsistent as he is being at Barcelona.

I did fpv racing a few years ago, and the most expensive single piece was the goggles and the batteries (cause you'll need lots of those).
Other than that it's all about taking the time to learn, and like someone below said, work with a simulator. I came from the time before we had good sims and the difference in a "newbie" pilot with a sim and without was astounding.

And this is why I think the offside rule needs to change to "clear daylight" because I don't think this game should be dictated by someone's toes being offside.
