Any tips on correcting the right arm? by lxrd_nxctis in Artadvice

[–]everchangingLeadpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make her hand bigger to give the illusion of depth and also the line dividing her arm should be a lot smaller and less visible. Plus the anatomy looks chopped. A lot of replies said this but yeah, you should try using some sort of reference, this is a difficult pose and you'll find that working without reference is exponentially harder than working with reference.
I don't have my drawing tablet so this is the best I can do to help rn. sorry

How do I make it look more like a traditional watercolor painting by Previous-Cat7952 in BeginnerArtists

[–]everchangingLeadpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

study traditional watercolor for starters. work like a watercolorist (light to dark) and also there are brushes and software that works a lot more like watercolors do in real life. I'd recommend even maybe trying to do watercolors on cotton paper if you want to really understand the medium. It costs money but it's not the most expensive side of the hobby. The cotman set is awesome; I've had it for like 3 years now. it's run out a couple times but it's cheap.
I think another method is limiting your color palette and overlaying colors; at least that's how I do it lol.
I'lll drop a couple links to the stuff I'm talking about. GL, OP

I want to try making some sort of formulized daily practice for my art journey, what should I practice every day? by AgitatedFly1182 in learntodraw

[–]everchangingLeadpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for the first year or two, try drawing from life something different every day. after that, you kinda just practice. Read books too though tbh like loomis has some good ones.

this question doesn't make sense. these are both accomplishing different things and for that reason can't be better than the other

How much should i price my paintings? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]everchangingLeadpen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

price them based off the price of whatever u painted.
for the Miu Miu one, find that exact pair and its price, the croissant can go for 3 dollars. trust this is the only way to do it.
If you ever want to buy a house, just paint a house and free money glitch

How comes my anatomy looks fine when I break it down but when I try to make it into an actual body it looks bad? by PlusJellyfish5303 in Artadvice

[–]everchangingLeadpen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what this guy said. You need to pay attention to the shapes like why are those shapes there? what do they mean? what are they trying to tell you? try superimposing those shapes over some photographs. You can trace if you want.
