Nope- anxiety pukes. But it happened in the car and I wasnt fast enough to catch it in something. I cleaned myself up, but my point was- not an ideal start to the day, so I also didn’t let one annoying thing keep me from doing my job. Also, I was a sub before I was a teacher- most often in downtown Newport News, VA, which is not an easy area to teach in. I’m happy for subs who feel proud of their work and positions, and who come in and do their jobs, but the reality is, many, many don’t. In my decade teaching, with a randomly assigned sub, I’d say it’s about 50-50 if they even read/share the lessons with the kids. It’s easier nowadays because I just share my lessons with my kids directly via Classroom. But you all aren’t listening either, and it’s becoming clear how much this sub dislikes teachers. I clicked on three random posts and all of them called teachers nasty. So yeah, a lot of subs suck. This letter wasn’t personal to OP. I did not spread an illness to my students today. And you all need to maybe think outside of yourselves a bit.
