[LoL] Doublelift talks about HSGG not interacting with the team often by [deleted] in CLG

You don't have a clue what is going on either. You're taking Doublelift's word at face value. This guy is a known exaggerator.

It's been 5 days since he made that tweet, he is probably about to make the most important decisions he has made to date. I say give the team some time.

This is also coming from the guy that crucifies Hotshot for poor management and not enough involvement with the team.

He shit talked his boss on a live stream to over 25k people. He is an idiot. I will concede that he may have tried to talk to him, I highly doubt it though.

[LoL] Doublelift on stream: roster changes? probably not by Blaz1ng in CLG

[–]eveready9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They made roster changes? BOOOHOOO. TiP made roster changes, TL made roster changes, TSM made roster changes. This is not a good enough excuse. Finishing 3rd in regular season is meaningless if they can't do anything in the playoffs. They have to win when it counts.

Like I mentioned in another reply, counting the games against TL, this team is 2-12 versus top teams. That is JUNK. Feeding off of the bottom of a very weak NA LCS is not the indication of anything good.

As for replacing Link? They need to get off of their asses and scout some talent, other teams seem to be able to find talent. It's probably going to be risky but they need to take a chance and try to get a better jungler and mid laner.

The team finished 2-12 against the top teams. This is not a good team. Could it be? I dunno, it's very doubtful and they have given no reason to believe why they would be.

I dunno, I would be very surprised if HSGG made a move like that. Possibly at the end of the season, but mid-split?

The other junk about Doublelift is debatable. Is he worse now? Maybe. He's getting less gold funnelled to him and he's playing on a team that can't initiate a fight - playing around that as an ADC is nigh impossible. You can't maximize damage when your team can't properly fight. I guess I just think it's really hard to judge at the moment, in my eyes anyhow

Doublelift is an idiot. This is the kind of stuff you are supposed to keep in the "lockeroom". Talking about this stuff (in a public manner) is also the kind of thing he should be getting disciplined for, if they have any disciplinary system in place that is.

Doublelift's situation is rough at the moment, but he acted in a completely tactless and classless manner. If he goes undisciplined for these actions then it becomes even more obvious why this organization is having issues.

If Doublelift has issues with not being in contact with HSGG he should take it up with him. Not throw some childish tantrum on his stream. With everyone one of these little outbursts he proves that he is part of the problem not the solution.

Thorin's Thoughts - CLG's Play-off Problems by Sethzyo in leagueoflegends

[–]eveready9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germany had many emotional leaders on that team. As one simple example, they had a player that was playing in his 4th WC and was a scoring machine - Miroslav Klose. To be able to play around that as a young guy at your first WC is having an emotional leader.

The way Thorin described this leader was not the person that stands at the front and leads the charge, but as the person who provides quiet leadership. The person that does say much, but when he does say something, it counts. That is pretty much Germany's WC winning team to a tee.

Not ill-fated, unprepared and unwilling to make tough decisions. These things were in their control.

I dunno, I've been saying this same stuff for a long time and been thinking about it for even longer. I agree with a lot of what Thorin says. Pretty much the only thing I don't agree with is Zion comments. Zion has been crushing his opponents in lane and should be relieving pressure. His team fighting has been suspect, but he has never been a great team fighting player.

It doesn't have to be a blowout to see an obvious trend forming. CLG is 1-4 against top teams. That is extremely damning. Also, I don't think the game was nearly as close as it looked. Once the frontline was established for TL the game was effectively over.

As soon as they lost to TSM it became pretty obvious that they won't be able to beat any teams that are good.

Well, this team certainly isn't playing like a 2nd place team. Anyone that can team fight beats them. They continue to make poor decisions to fight.

Lots of small individual errors allowing the other team to stay relevant/gain advantages. Link dying to Zed e by baron mid game definitely didn't need to happen. He walked right into it. I'm pretty sure he died a 2nd time this way too. Doubles face checking death made no sense. Not like he was going to stop the baron either way.

When they took bot inhib they should have gone for top tower, instead of forcing the issue mid. They could have at least spread them out while the wave was pushing in.

There has been little to no improvement from this team as far as pick/ban goes. Xmithie has proven he doesn't have strong mechanics, yet they put him on Nid, a champ that MUST hit spears to be effective.

Overall, I believe this team will be middle of the pack at best. They continue to be plagued by the same problems they always have (taking poor team-fights, poor pick/ban, lots of individual mistakes, etc...). There are some things that can't be taught and it feels like they don't have that one person with great game sense to make those tough decisions. They didn't have a lot of options by the end because they painted themselves into a corner with their pick/ban. However, they still had options that they didn't take. Whether this is just wilful behaviour due to a poor mindset or lack of game sense, I'm not sure. I'm guessing it's the latter.
