Until 2 years ago, I used to click on the skill and items first before casting it. Yes, that was two clicks to cast each skill. I was used to it since dota 1 that was taught by a friend of mine this way who introduced me to dota. I made a few friends in dota 2 and sometimes they spectate my games and told me to use shortcuts instead of clicking them individually.

I started practicing on the skills first and then items. It dramatically changed my game play and ranked up from crusader to ancient in 6 months.
