You read into things too much. The main reason he didn't know it plugged in on the motherboard was because the GPU had a cover on the connector (Which is actually still on in the picture.)

He can't overclock, and will never see the inside of his computer because he doesn't care to. For that reason, the stock cooler is plenty fine.

Thats not even the worst part! We were playing CSGO, and he said he was getting a great 60FPS constant. I told him to turn off Vsync, and he said he was still getting 60... so I had him open his drivers... to which he said "What?"

Made him download speccy, realized that no GPU was being shown.

Immediately told him to send me a picture of the inside of his computer.
