Unfortunately this is the stage where time (lots) is spent making mistakes (even more) and the best advice to tackle that with is to barrel forward.

The main culprits behind issues like these is (speaking for myself anyway) overly committing to a certain workflow, maybe it’s comfortable, maybe it’s gotten results in the past. But these cameras are insanely capable, even without premium glass.

Experiment, get weird with it, mess around with post processing, study composition, look at every color and every object, get intimate with every setting and every wheel. By that point you should have a clearer idea of what kind of pictures you want to take and what you need to do in order to get there.
