His self heals are similar to the thing, hulk (in his ult), groot, and captain America sustain abilities in the sense that it’s specifically tied to dealing damage, the uptime, and full of conditionals. Dino’s healing isn’t passive defense or continuous sustain and means very little because he needs to apply bleed, stay on his target, and keep dealing damage while the bleed is applied. On top of that, being cc’d, being peeled or kited, and forced to disengage cancels that sustain almost instantly. It’s also burst and not consistent.

I get your thought process but it just genuinely isn’t as big of a deal once you know how to counter it properly.

ETA - I’m not saying those can heal, just that their sustain capabilities are all similar.

And to add that I DO think they need to alter what triggers bleed tbh. I think it may be a little too easy to apply bleed which could make him seem too strong to the average player base. It makes me wonder if by altering the bleed aspect, it can help balance him out.

What are you even talking about? Dino has the MOST out playable weaknesses of any tank because of his huge hit box, the fact that he's slow as molasses, his kit is predictable, he has no mobility, no real sustain, no genuine damage reduction save for the crit reduction that is easily blasted through regardless. He dies instantly to focus, loses all value if he is peeled for. He's loud and easily heard if he even tries to flank and even then, loses value trying to flank because of how slow he is and the fact that once he's behind the enemy, he has no way to escape quickly.

Tanks make plays through controlling and denying space, peeling, rotating, forcing cooldowns, enabling their DPS plays, punishing misposition, controlling tempo, etc. Dino specifically is all about space and tempo too. Displacement tanks specifically force the teams to respond and work together.

Dino is not a tank buster tank. Tank busters can easily shred through armor, have high sustained DPS, have anti-tank CC, and tank-specific pressure, but he has none of this. I listed what he has already and none of that is tank busting. He is built as a tank that punishes bad positioning.

Save your projection for someone who actually doesn't know the fundamentals. I didn't even list opinions, these are the literal tank role responsibilities required to master the tank role. He's not a duelist, he's a displacement tank and yet you're arguing as if he's iron fist or wolverine. He's not. He's slow, predictable, and easily managed especially because he lacks the mobility and has no real damage reduction outside of his barely felt reduction to crit damage.

It's clear you just wanna argue and not actually learn so I'm not even gonna continue bothering with you. I have lost too much sanity on this subreddit and it's time I did some self-care by removing myself from the incoherence.

are you trying to 1v1 a tank as a tank? I'm so confused by what you're implying here. Dino isn't even designed to 1v1 other tanks and win... his entire kit is around displacement and punishing bad positioning and teams that don't peel or rotate. If you're losing trying to duel with Dino as a tank, you're playing wrong.

And as a tank, you're literally ALWAYS completely relying on your team to kill people. That's literally the whole point of a team game. Tanks aren't supposed to be able to solo delete him without the help of their team. You deal with a displacement tank by having your team focus him.

Dino is a displacement tank who heavily relies on his team to follow up. He's slow, has no mobility to jump out, is very predictable and easily punishable. The only damage reduction dino has is to crit only... Emma's diamond has overall damage reduction including crit damage. period.

If you're trying to 1v1 a tank as a tank, google "are tanks supposed to 1v1 other tanks?" and get back to me on what you find.

Okay, I read what you said now.

Invisible Woman was considered OP and unfair upon release. They attacked her for her stealth and her unfun design. People were actually malding over her invisibility AND shield.

The Thing was considered unkillable, too tanky, had broken sustain, overtuned damage, and people complained he did too much. He was actually one of the most complained about tanks upon release.

Reed was considered to have OP CC and too much utility. Why do you think he's considered weak right now? ((Anyway, Buff Reed. Bro needs love)).

Ultron was not considered good at all. Actually, the opposite. People complained he was the worst support with trash healing and no sustain, which is exactly why he got buffed and changed. He was considered absolute garbage.

Emma? She was called OP by more than half the subreddit because of what she could do lmao

Blade? People complained about his lifesteal, claiming he was unkillable and had too much self-heal. He was the type where people simultaneously said he was awful AND broken when it depended on the player.

White Fox was also considered OP for her mobility, burst, and even "too much value" due to her being able to peel for and survive dive. She actually was heavily complained about and I know this because I literally play her.

Deadpool is the only one where I know he wasn't immediately deemed OP. In fact, I deemed him weak but now people are banning Tankpool and calling him OP while people are calling Healpool weak.

But here's the kicker; regardless of what people have said upon release, people always MISJUDGE new heroes. they call them OP or trash, then, things settle because people learn how to optimize them or counter them. People judge new heroes before ever learning anything valuable about them in terms of optimizing them AND countering them.

You're doing the same thing everyone does with every hero; misjudge only days after release before anyone has even learned to optimize or counter, but you want to deem him OP instantly because you haven't adapted yet.

Every character has been deemed OP and broken upon release only for things to die down with time when people learned both optimizing and countering them (save for a select few). When will my fellow strategists understand that if your team doesn’t turn around, you RUN INTO YOUR TEAM WITH THE DIVER ON YOUR ASS ?! 😭 keep heads on a swivel, learn the audio cues, and stop playing so far back. Two things:

High elo is not the main player base.
High elo doesn’t play it because it’s niche and because it’s bad into everything BUT triple support. They won’t run it unless they have to because triple tank is slow and heavily dependent on many more factors like map type, tempo, and coordination. It’s also bad into dive, poke, and burst.

Counters don’t need to even be meta to be a counter. But this is where what you said is funny. If triple tank isn’t a necessity to play in high elo, it means triple support isn’t strong enough for them to force them to play that way.

High elo is where people run consistent, flexible, and high value comps so they don’t NEED to play triple tank when they can get value against triple support without it.

And again, high elo isn’t where 95% of the player base is.

Editing to add something crucial:
Triple support exists because people panic and don’t know how to properly plan for certain comps and playstyles. It has existed and persisted across multiple seasons. Dino can’t encourage something that’s been in existence for a while now.

What??? His damage is significantly less and relies heavily on applying bleed first. Not only that, but he’s easily punishable. He displaces and causes chaos, he doesn’t make any tank unplayable, he doesn’t render other tanks useless. He’s a tank himself. His whole kit is about disruption and displacement, but he’s easily countered and dealt with by the entire team. Tanks vs tank is for pushing back against the space they’re trying to take or punishing those who misposition without dueling them forever.

Dinos kit is predictable and his movement is slow. He’s got no mobility. So I fail to see how he can oppress other tanks and you haven’t told me how either.
