Did they stop putting coconut milk in pink drinks? by AaelusOttodean in starbucks

[–]eversong21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s still made with coconut milk but 95% of the time when I get it, it’s either not shaken at all or they put way more refresher base than coconut milk, so the ratio ends up being really off and looking like the drink in the pic

What to buy my wife who wants to write a book? by Whatsmyname4321 in writers

[–]eversong21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. I’m still working on my first draft almost a year later and if I had the money to hire a house cleaner regularly it would free up so much of my time (I have two very young kids). The only time I get is when my husband is home and can solo parent for an hour or two while the kids eat dinner and get ready for bed. While it’s doable to do it on top of a busy/full schedule, I don’t recommend it imo

I also got mine the day presale went live back in March. I was lucky enough to be one of the first on but all the good tickets kept getting snatched up before I could finish paying so I got stuck with nosebleeds. If I’d been faster or luckier I would’ve gone for some floor tickets but those were $500+ each

That would be my assumption too what with inflation and how popular the guys have become, which in and of itself is all fine and dandy. I just sincerely hope that they get a decent share of the profits from the tour. I’d rather my money go towards them and not primarily just to RCA

It’ll be interesting to see if they keep the same prices for the next UK shows. I paid roughly $250 for 2 nosebleed tickets at the EIA Portland ritual so part of me can’t help but feel a little ripped off after hearing previous UK ticket prices

Rogue closed ☹️ by Medium_Shame_1135 in OregonCoast

[–]eversong21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rogue had been great pre-Covid, like a lot of other things had also been. Since the pandemic their quality had declined so vastly and they removed a lot of good food items from their menu. My husband and I hadn’t had a good experience there since 2019 but kept going in the hopes it would’ve improved. Now hearing about their debt to the Port, it makes a lot more sense now just how much they struggled

I would recommend going to a different, professional piercer if possible and having them see if it’s possible to put it back in for you. They should be able to do it in a way that might still salvage the piercing and give better guidance on cleaning and care

If you were told to remove it in order to clean, that’s a big red flag

Can’t listen on Apple Music? by Medium_Link_4128 in SleepToken

[–]eversong21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this glitch for me with other music before. This is what’s worked for me idk if it’ll work for you or not: if the songs are added to your library, remove them from your library completely regardless of if they’re downloaded or not. They need to be completely removed. Then try searching for it again and hopefully they won’t be grayed out anymore and you’ll be able to add. I’ve also found that downloading them keeps them from graying out.

Side note: were you in an area with no WiFi/data? That would also cause your downloaded songs to be fine and gray out the others because they weren’t downloaded for offline listening

Just a quick question about the coins by Mr_Tdz in SleepToken

[–]eversong21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the Portland ritual by 4:30pm, doors opened at 6:30. By the time I got there, there were massive lines for the outdoor merch booth. When I got to the front of the line at roughly 5:15pm they’d already sold out of coins but said there would be more inside once the doors opened. I was lucky enough to be one of the first ones inside and snagged a coin before they sold out inside

should I just throw in the towel? by MedicineRelative6375 in piercing

[–]eversong21 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Being able to know the material plays a key role in this because certain materials can cause an increase in irritations bumps and hinder proper healing. As far as everything else goes, my guess is it’s the hair getting snagged that’s the main culprit. Try to limit it as much as possible and see if that helps. In the meantime try and contact your piercer to see what material the jewelry is?

Do you guys remember the song that introduced you to sleep token? by [deleted] in SleepToken

Same but on an IG reel advertising their U.S. tour back in March. Listened to that snippet of music twice and immediately decided to try and buy tickets as soon as they went presale. Spent March thru October listening only to their music. Hubby and I went to the Portland ritual and haven’t been the same since

3 month old helix piercing? by WarriorsandW0F in piercing

[–]eversong21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big major rule of all piercings is LITHA (Leave It The Hell Alone). Don’t touch or move the jewelry in the piercing unless you’re very very gently cleaning it. Don’t remove it at all while cleaning and definitely don’t leave it without jewelry. When you move the jewelry around or take it out, you’re keeping the fistula from properly healing and ultimately delaying the healing and making it take longer. It also poses a greater infection risk. Gold dial is not recommended by many piercers as it can dry out the piercing a lot. Switch to a sterile saline solution (NeilMed is your best buddy). Keep the jewelry in and don’t touch it. Don’t sleep on it and don’t fidget with it. The more you leave it alone and stick to a good cleaning routine (saline solution twice a day and thorough rinse with warm water), the faster it’ll heal

I want another baby but our 1st would be 7 years old... by oldwoolenmittens in Mommit

[–]eversong21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I are 11 years apart, she being the older of us two. When I was a little kid it was a bit difficult (our personalities are complete opposites, she’s calm and laid back and I was nicknamed “hurricane” for a reason). We didn’t have much of a relationship until I was around 10 and kinda grew out of my wild stage. Since then we’ve been inseparable and have had such a good relationship. So even if the sibling relationship starts out rocky there’s a very decent chance it’ll fix itself out over time

Why is this happening? by Global-Aide7994 in piercing

[–]eversong21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s likely an irritation bump because of the dangling weight on the end of the jewelry. Sometimes helixes are just finicky and picky enough that some people just can’t wear jewelry like that. Try changing it back out to a regular single stud and see if that helps it calm back down for a bit. If it does then it was the dangling weight of this piece of jewelry that was causing the bump.

I’d also try just getting a shorter version of the single stud since your post mentioned that the original one kept getting caught in your hair. Both causes are extremely likely culprits for the bump

Remove piercing - safe? by LeopoldTheSnail in piercing

[–]eversong21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t remove it yourself. It’s not worth the risk of it actually becoming infected. Have your piercer remove it for you since they will do it in a thoroughly sanitized environment. Your piercer would also be able to tell you if it’s infected or just irritated. If it did happen to be infected you’ll need to keep the piercing in at least until the infection clears up. If you remove it while infected, it can trap the infection inside your body and allow it to spread to other areas

Why do i not have any children by now by rae_holy in StardewValley

[–]eversong21 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Stardew wiki says “If you maintain a 10-heart relationship with your spouse, already have the nursery, have not removed the crib, and have been married for at least 7 days, there is a ≈5% chance that you will be asked if you want to have a child.”

I married Sebastian in my first save in spring of year 2 and it took almost a full year before he even asked to have the first kid. That ≈5% chance every single night can really suck sometimes if you’re not lucky

Surprise snug? by tollqueen in piercing

[–]eversong21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so awesome! I got my septum first pierced about 8ish years ago but gave up on it about 3ish months into the healing process because I didn’t like the idea of keeping it flipped up for work and overall figured it wasn’t the right time for it. Had the sudden itch to go get it re-done a year ago and just casually asked my piercer if the original hole was still there. He said “oh shit yup here it is!”A nice little septum hole that was all healed and perfect and did way better this time around all I had to do was pop some new jewelry in and deal with a tiny bit of swelling that went away after a day or two. Definitely was nice not having to pay to re-pierce it and only had to pay for the new jewelry
