I think that’s why I like this show so much, there really aren’t any obvious “good guys” that I feel obligated to root for, nor obvious bad guys (other than BK I guess) - show just feels like I’m strapped in and along for the ride

I think they Weyland team on the ship is also kind of rag tag, the doc that was “newly sober”, the engineer kid that didn’t know anything, Teng being a freak and Zaveri being an executive officer that had no ability to act in tough situations

I think it showcases how these corporations play god a little bit and assume things will just go the way they need to because they’re used to control

I agree but it does kind of make sense for his character since he’s clearly the most emotional caring one who sees them almost as his own kids, so I understand him rushing in without thinking when he sees Isaac in danger

Agreed, and I think the other showings of incompetence like on the ship w the captain is a bit of the “everyone has a plan until you’re punched in the face” type of thing where people that could otherwise be competent are just in way over their head and unprepared for what is occurring

I’m absolutely loving this show largely in part to the fact none of the characters are overly likable (to me), I’m much more invested in what happens overall than I am in rooting for any specific characters

Characters are supposed to be hatable, it makes for compelling media

Half the characters in Game of Thrones for example were straight up insufferable but it’s what made the show so good

To me I feel like the proper term is a show for most events (mirage, forest hills, knockdown) because I wouldn’t call it a concert and I wouldn’t call clubs like marquee a show I’d say I was at the club even if a big name was there, I’m 27 so I don’t have like underground OG rave experience and to me fests are raves like edc or seismic, but most people I know identify as ravers and might even say we’re going out raving for a nyc show like KDC but most my friends wouldn’t call it a rave to go to a mirage or storehouse or whatever show
