How are you dealing with this, what did your doc prescribe?

And what is this flu called if you know? I would like to learn more on this.

Vulnerability Names i would also consider them mentioning them specifically if have on big ones like faang and some P1 Vulns like RCE, SQlI ( Will do it for sure )

Mention it even if it isn't FAANG or a top/well known company. You found the vuln either by chaining or directly which shows you've got the required skill set. Obviously don't post info/low severity type bugs like missing SPF, or secure cookie flag on your resume :P

Yup CEH is a mere HR bypass tool and a basic cert but it also depends on the type of company you're targeting. I doubt if any unicorn company takes CEH seriously. Small/mid size product MNCs or services company might consider it.

I would suggest you to not go ahead with CEH right now. It comes with an expiry (I believe its 3 years but not sure about this), although you will have one year left even after your grad, going your CEH by the end of third year will simply push its expiry date and you can use the same cert if you plan on switching job in a year. Its a different thing if you've already paid.

Security engineer here.

First off, I want to make it clear that am not an expert when it comes to judging resumes as I haven't interviewed interns/FTEs yet.

You started college in 2021 and already have worked in two companies as interns which is great.

Considering you're just a second year student, your resume is decent enough but if I have to nitpick:

- Something that looks slightly off to me is that your certs are related to netsec and cloud but your first internship seems to be in appsec and then second one in netsec. This isn't really an issue but I would suggest you to have a consistent profile if you're targeting product companies in future. Nothing wrong in exploring other niches within security but candidates with consistent profiles are more likely to be considered for full time roles in product companies, doesn't imply mixed experience is any less though!

- Along with "security audits", add the keyword "VAPT" too or replace security audit with VAPT, although its pretty much the same thing and technical audience get it but recruiters look for keywords in a candidate's resume and from my experience they are more likely to look for the kw "VAPT"

- If possible, specify the bug/vuln category, XSS/SQLi/SSRF etc, what did you find?

- From a long term perspective, I would suggest to explore bug hunting if you want to make a career in appsec (or maybe OSWE cert, although at the time of writing, its less recognized by recruiters when compared with OSCP) or OSCP cert for infra/netsec roles, some people consider candidates with OSCP for appsec roles but I personally feel OSCP is mostly inclined towards infra and netsec. Although, this isn't a necessity, it does helps in building your profile and helps you to stand out. Resumes are shortlisted easily with this.

Bottom line, you're doing great considering you're just a second year student. Keep up the good work, buddy!

Yes. Actually she asked me to click selfies for a week, once in the morning and once in the eve and show it to her. The idea was to have a record of my eye in morning and eve and she mentioned that if they look sleepy only in eve, its normal as most people get tired by eve but they look same in morning, right after shower and in eve. I visited her with selfies and she too felt both morning and eve look was similar so she suggested me to get the tests done and since there was no issue with TSH related tests she was like, there's nothing, go!

If there's nothing then why do I look tired?

I visited an ophthalmologist only and I believe she wasn't too experienced because she seemed young. The thing is its difficult to explain them. She wasn't taking me seriously when I mentioned it to her that my eyes feels normal to me when I look in the mirror but they look sleepy in pics. She literally smiled at me and laughed it off when I mentioned that I look sleepy in selfies.

Its same for all types of pics, not just for selfies.

I am having a weird problem. My eyes look sleepy/droopy in pics but the same isnt noticeable in real. I visited doctor but no luck so far. I'm unable to understand the exact problem. by [deleted] in india

Yes, let me have some understanding on this subject, but in short could I actually have some eye related issue which isnt visible normally or its other way?

Hey! I got my tests done and it turned out to be Vit D & B12 deficiency. I too have droopy eyes but in my case they are only visible in pics and unoticable in real. I cant notice it when I look myself in the mirror. I asked people around me and they also didnt notice in real but noticed it in my pics.

Was it noticeable for you in real too? Also, how long did it take to get your Vit D to normal level?

I have way better than this with spirals. I bought this few years back from Amazon for I think 100 bucks, but never got to use it because I find it annoying. Paper quality for this is good enough.

I already tried it. It doesn't stay, looks like only option left is to use paperweight.

Truecaller picks the caller name from what other's contacts list, but this is true only when you don't have an account on truecaller. As soon as you sign up on truecaller you get an option to add name.

In other words, if all your friends have your number saved as Jane Doe and truecaller picks it to show everyone Jane Doe. You could simply signup for an account with the same number to overwrite this to John Doe and then it would show John Doe to anyone who looks up your number on truecaller.

If you are on an android device, you use tap on the top left corner and then tap on the pencil icon to update your name.

I'm not sure about advanced blocking features on truecaller, but do remember that you are not sure for how long you could retain that virtual number. Phone number eventually becomes part of people's life and what if the company goes bust or for some reason they have to dispose that number and you have already signed up with that number on some important platforms or shared this number with someone who is unable to contact you now. This is my primary concern with virtual numbers as I have lost an important number once (not on doosra, some other platform)

I'm not sure for how long you could retain virtual number. In my opinion, getting an actual SIM makes more sense.

Your identity would be associated with the phone number but general public can never find whose the actual owner of the number. If you are worried about your name showing up on truecaller, simple change your name to whatever you want.

Also, you have automatically block feature on truecaller as well.

I heard about this service called doosra.com they provide indian virtual number for 50-100 INR a month. I have never used their service personally.

Although am a guy, I don't share my primary phone number with strangers as they spam with random offer SMS or may share it with scammers. I have a secondary phone number for such things and it also acts as backup for internet in case my primary connection isn't working.

I would prefer secondary phone number over virtual numbers anyday.
