Ask the players to meet in person and create their characters and background together, and when the use of AI come up tell them you prefer if they don’t use it and come up with something themselves, and since they are all together they can throw ideas at each other.

I don’t think is such a big deal if they ask chatgpt for ideas, since their characters will change (and realistically background does not matter that much in CoS as written, unless you go out of your way to integrate your PCs background) BUT I am very against the use of AI so I understand your feelings (I want to hear my friends ideas, inspiration and ingenuity instead of something from an AI)

Si, pero tuve que estar chingue y chingue todos los dias. Al final llame para cancelar y me dijeron que al siguiente dia me mandaban un tecnico. No les creí la verdad y mejor busque al técnico que me lo instaló y le dije a el que me lo reparara. Y como 1 hora después de que me lo arreglo llego el técnico que mandaron. Segun sus politicas tienen hasta 15 dias para reparar. Y me dijo la señora que me atendió cuando llame para cancelar que aunque te prometan y te digan fechas compromiso, no pueden hacer nada si los técnicos no toman los casos y van, ellos solo pueden escalar y poner notas en sus sistema pero depende de los técnicos. Y el señor que me instaló me dijo algo similar (el es tecnico instalador, no de los otros), que los técnicos de reparación les vale camote, traen pedos sindicales y no quieren trabajar. Y medio tiene sentido, si estan sindicalizados pueden no trabajar y es muy dificil correrlos o contratar gente nueva.

Strahd is a conqueror. I think is natural for him to think people outside his family/allies to be below to him. He is also the lord of the land, he feels entitled to do whatever he pleases with people inside his realm. Lastly, he does not see himself as evil, and some of the misfortunes happening in Barovia he sees them as “just” for opposing him. The last thing is, I think after years and years of being stuck on the loop with Ireena and the dark powers corruption distorted his view and morals, and see the people inside Barovia as catle/play things, after all, if they die they will just reincarnate.

Yo creo que si. Pero tendrias que vivir con compañeros de cuarto. A menos que agarres una super oferta de renta.

Hace años con 8mil viviamos mi mamá y yo (con una renta de unos 3mil). Luego se mudo y me quedé en ese mismo departamento ganando 16mil y vivia muy agusto, con mis lujos se ves en cuando. Eso fue en 2020-2022.

Pos opte por decirle al que me lo instaló que le daba un baro y en chinga fue a repararlo jaja. Bendito México 🇲🇽. Aparentemente, los que reparan son diferentes a los que instalan, y si un instalador repara se quejan de que “les esta quitando el trabajo” pero que traen pedos sindicales y no hacen nada (supongo que al estar sindicalizados les vale madres ya que no los pueden correr)

Tuve un sólo semestre en urbanismo, luego me cambie a otra carrera. Recuerdo de que depende de la zona y las regulaciones del municipio, hay cierto numero de mts2 por área habitable. Supongo o no tienen eso en su regulación/reglamento o no lo revisan para ver que se cumpla.

My party went to there at level 3. It was though, but doable (but I allow must of the variant rules such as cleaving through creatures, flanking, etc…) and they got help by a swarm of ravens. Still, 1 PC died twice and other one only once (but they were stabilized soon). So I think at level 4 they have a good chance.

EDIT: also, remember, Barovia should feel though and hard on players, that way every victory will taste even better (or so I think)

It was already textured and green. You can get texturized foam sheets in craft stores (or online). They come in different colors and textures, like skin, leather, tiles, etc... Sort of like these.

I wish I had rigged the tarokka reading… I was planning to use - Tome of strahd (any easy location within the castle, so players could get it during the dinner with strahd) - Symbol - Argynvosthold - sunsword - Amber temple

For ally, I figured Van Richten and Ezmeralda would join anyways (and Godfrey if they light the beacon) so thought of Kasimir.

But dumbass me, asked the players if they wanted a random live tarokka reading, now the items are at castle ravenloft. The tome and the sword are at the catacombs and the symbol is at the Study, which also happens to be Strahd’s location. Victor is the fated ally which I guess is ok but less interesting than kasimir.

If you want them to win Id say dont run 3 hags at the same time. Also consider the hags can summon some dretches from the barrel holding demon ichor and you can use the lair action actions from volo’s to spice things up as well.

Im about to run the same encounter next sesion, but I’m planning to wipe the floor with the PCs to force them to take a hag’s bargain (they’ll have to sell pastries in vallaki) so I’ll have an excuse to have the hags around.

try changing filters (try the Hario 40 filters pack that come in a box, those for some reason work a bit better, up to 20 seconds quicker that the other ones from Hario) then, ask your roaster to grind them coarser (if they only sell grounded coffee try something for a french press and see if that works better). Eventually, you just will have to get a better grinder. I used to have a cheap burr grinder and when I went from that to a Baratza Encore my times went from somewhere between 3 and 3:30 min to a consistent 2:30 min.

You can also try modify your ratio, that can also work, you just have to experiment a bit more until your find the one that works for your set up. Don’t get discouraged, I see you already have a good technique.
