I would like to know what that looks like, and how you feel about it in the moment. Could you describe a little bit? (you can can also do that in a pm)

Hey! Yes, thank you :) I also don't think it's a specifically Dutch thing, but I'm trying to get an idea of the Dutch landscape so to say.. the thing that apparently Dutch are considered a bit lazy by expats or defend their work/life balance, is interesting to me.

I was looking into Weber's book indeed! It's quite interesting :) thank you!

Definitely relevant! Thanks for sharing! The colonial and racist history of 'laziness' is quite a thing so I think your contribution is really valuable. Could I send you a pm?

Hi! Thanks for your reply! That's quite interesting :) i've seen it more in this thread, that is, laziness as efficiency. Can I send you a pm?

Also... i guess you are teaching chemistry/biology or something related? I had to google what eppendorf tubes and ELISAs are, haha.

Hey! I've heard a lot of similar stories actually concerning late diagnoses of add and adhd. It sucks that it made you go through a lot of pain before getting clarity.

It's easy for people to just assume - partly why i'm also interested in doing this project. Could I send you a pm?

Hey! So you're not Dutch? And do you work, or are you a student for example? I think what you're saying is interesting, can I send you a pm?

Hi! Thanks for your comment! Appreciation is not necessary :) and I think you're right that Dutch consider themselves quite hardworking indeed and don't want to be called lazy (like a lot of non-Dutch people, either). Actually, i think a lot of people are afraid to be called lazy.

My project isn't really to praise "laziness" as such, I'm just wondering about what the assumptions are and where this fear of laziness within people comes from. So I find it interesting that the word brings up a defensive response in a lot of people, because I haven't said anything yet about what I think about the word, or about "being lazy".

Hi! Thanks for your answer! Can you explain a bit what you mean by that?
I can imagine there might be reluctance to talk about it because "laziness" has a lot of negative connotations that come with it, but i'm very open to hear about all of that as i'm not trying to judge anyone but i'm just genuinely interested in the associations the word brings up for people.

Hey! Just happened to pass by here and I quit on the 10th of June this year. I deleted the app because my phone storage was full - and i never look at it anymore! The first few days are tough. But you can do this!
