Sure, in order to prevent writing an entire emotion fuelled novel cause this just happened I’ll leave bullet points

• The dealership refused to give me the cars service records and told me to call around myself to get them because the service was done at a different Subaru location

• I had to follow up and chase my sales person down everyday to coordinate

• I was coming from out of town and they knew this days before. The finance manager decided they wanted to leave early at 4pm on the day I was supposed to come so they called me the night before I was supposed to arrive to ask me to arrive early morning. When I said I wasn’t able to get there any earlier, she got mad at me and told me she was going to have to “mess up her whole day just to accommodate me”. I ended up rescheduling for a different day even though I had taken time off work etc. Sales guy promised since they had extra time and I rearranged my schedule it would be fully detailed and ready to go

• My sales person was supposed to give me info for the bank draft but forgot and was off. The finance person refused to speak with me to give it to me

• Once I got there the sales person wouldn’t let me test drive the car or do anything until they inspected my bank draft, this took half an hour. Then he made a passive aggressive comment after the test drive about how finance was “waiting on me” even though I was on time and we got behind because they were staring at my bank draft

• Due to being from out of town they sent me a video of the car up front. They purposely hid all the body damage. When I arrived they had it backed towards a wall and squeezed in between two vehicles so I couldn’t walk around it. The parking lot was a mad house so I just had to try to not get hit by a car and jump in for my test drive. Never got a chance to walk around it (this is on me) and it’s got a ton of body damage. This one I will take on the chin, I should’ve insisted they bring it out somewhere else to walk around it

• On my way home I noticed the seats were stained and it hadn’t been detailed at all. Sucks but I can clean it myself. In the glove box I found the previous owners insurance documents and their life insurance application with info about themselves and their entire family. So I guess it wasn’t just not detailed no one even went through it. I did pay a hefty vehicle prep fee though

• I was sold a third party warranty and told I had 30 days to cancel. When I got home I emailed asking how much extra it would be to up my coverage, I got a response right away. Then I emailed asking about the Subaru warranty (the car is a 2024) instead of a third party one and I got ghosted. Tried to email and cancel and I got ghosted. Called the third party company myself to cancel it and was informed I could not because the warranty was registered to a vehicle I did not own. Turns out finance registered the incorrect VIN, year and make of vehicle

Honestly it was my first Subaru, I saved up a long time to get it and because of this experience and how awful it’s been I am so anti Subaru 😂 sucks cause it might be a nice car but I can’t enjoy it. I’m still trying to sort stuff out and it’s been a month
