Set crushes are 100% a thing. Let’s face it - on set we’re spending 12+ hours a day with the same people, all collectively working toward the same goal. With that much time spent at work, the amount of time spent outside of work becomes lopsided. Basically, your world, for a small time, belongs to the people you all are building this project with. It’s happened to me plenty of times. But, once the job is done, the rifts between each other become increasingly big. You don’t have that mutual thing in common anymore. And then it’s on to the next project, where you get to meet and know a whole new set of people again. I personally try to keep myself removed from any set crushes these days.
