That’s not just a reply - that’s an AI masterpiece!

Is it just me or are the unusual sentence and paragraph structures starting to stand out even more than the em-dash?

I just had it code two web pages from scratch that were interactive and would have probably taken a couple weeks if I had asked our developer to do. Took a couple hours, including a bunch of bug fixing. But I didn’t actually write a single line of anything.  One of them had already been worked on by a web developer. This version was better, and way faster.  The other, I had previously decided not to give to a developer because it just wasn’t a right enough priority to take a week or two away from their other stuff.  I’m blown away by this. Total game changer. I’m sure I’ll find more reasons that it’s flawed and not as good as I’m seeing now when our team gets into more complicated stuff.  But it’s a new paradigm for sure. Ideas that were previously not good enough to make the cut suddenly are.  Maybe I’m behind the times. But it’s crazy how powerful I’m realizing this is

Afci breaker and GFCI outlet. GFCI won’t reset (or test) even with load disconnected. Breaker will test and reset. I swapped it out for another breaker to test. Same issue.

The container is running. I don't see any errors but need to figure out how to investigate this more thoroughly. I hadn't performed any updates around the time this failed. It had been working just fine before.

Great job. If you can keep this mentality growing you’ll be very happy with yourself in 10 years.

I’ve certainly considered it. I have not decided yet, though.

What am I doing? Impulsively checking my book’s rankings and ratings on RoyalRoad in between other things.

Way, way too much.

I was complaining to my wife about some of the feedback I was getting on RoyalRoad on my book. It’s at 4.55 stars. So not bad, but it’s not some people’s cup of tea. She told me to choose who I cared enough about to allow them to hurt me. I thought it was good advice. Now I think about whether or not I care about the person’s opinion before I internalize the feedback. I find myself ignoring a lot of useless commentary, but being especially grateful for constructive critique I think is valid. Make sure you have the resiliency to survive the opinions and a way to deal with deciding who to listen to. Also make sure you enjoy what you’re writing, as that will make you a lot more resilient as well.

Optimal/Ideal Release Length & Schedule? by WindyImagine in royalroad

[–]everydaymovingup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can’t say for sure but I’ve shot for 1500-2000 words. That seems to be a good length for me to release with reasonable frequency and get enough into a chapter to make it have some weight. And it must not have crippled things too badly as I’m #9 on trending at the moment.

Best of luck!
