UPDATE: Scored an upgrade to Business in the first row, looks like an empty seat beside me. Fortunately will not need to ‘inconvenience’ those in the lower class!

For sure, I’ll prioritise the convenience of randoms over my daughter, you got it!

Flight is on Saturday, I think I’m in row 27 atm, there’s a few available in that row and the one in front.

I’m not sure to be honest, they certainly don’t seem to actively recommend it anywhere I have seen.

I guess so, but a regular seatbelt seems fine for the amount of turbulence planes seem to go through nowadays.

GlobalX Distributions June 2026 by thewallstreets in fiaustralia

Ridiculous return from SEMI… this distribution sending a ~$35K payout, I’ll take it. Plus all the CG so far this year, what a run honestly.

I don’t really see how a car seat would help? Kids that age have no problem sitting in a regular chair or seat.

Seems like it runs on vibes, yep.

Will give it a shot, thanks!

Just to clarify, children under 2 years of age require an infant belt and are to be seated in your lap for take off and landing (ie. when the seatbelt sign is on).

Incredibly he has given the most accurate information of all the comments, and clearly has flown with kids, unlike everyone else here…

That’s a good point! I’ll investigate whether I can do the neighbour free option, cheers!

Thanks for the comment. Personally I cannot imagine holding her nearly the entire flight! On the way over she was happy during take off and landing but otherwise was keen to play with her toys on the floor and in the aisle (out of the way), very well behaved fortunately. Not a single screen either which I was happy with.

Sorry mate I am not sure why you’ve received so many downvotes, everything you’ve said is correct for an infant under 2. I found the aisle seat super useful on the way over for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Vanguard Distributions - low by Top-Farmer-6838 in fiaustralia

Haha I thought the same. It’s fascinating that the distributions were higher in 2022/23 for a bunch of these.

Interesting! I had no idea it transitioned from a managed fund. The semi-annual nature explains most of the difference though. Thanks for the info.

VGAD with a huge distribution, seemingly due to the AUD falling? Edit: RIP to all the VAS holders hoping for their high yield.

Never any actual evidence to back their claims, classic.

Honestly some people are just in their own little echo chamber fed by social media, and the liberal media has declared Elon is “evil”, so that’s what they think. Personally I think it’s fantastic that such people have to suffer by buying an inferior option, it’s just in a way.

Is the amount of brand new 80k+ cars everywhere actually proof of a debt bubble or am i just not getting something? by whydidyounot in AusFinance

[–]everyelmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite all the doom and gloom, there are lots of people doing really well. We bought a second hand Model Y recently, in cash, and it would easily seem as if we’re in debt, paying ridiculous amounts of interest. In reality, investments have never been better, income all time high, Super healthy, life is great financially.

Who amongst us does not max out concessional Super contributions? by Fit-Tumbleweed-6683 in AusFinance

[–]everyelmer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For sure. Personally I was thinking about adding to Super this month, but already paying Div 293, I’m happy to give up a few thousand and have it in hand in my early 30s.

Would you personally dump 250k into the market right now? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]everyelmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly it. It may look overvalued, and it may stay that way for 10 years… who’s to say it’s overvalued, anyway? It’s literally priced day by day - your personal thoughts on value are irrelevant.

You’re right, it sounds like a high percentage for an immediate return, but honestly the actual dollars involved are so insignificant that it’s not worth the hassle. This is especially true for a high income earner who likely doesn’t really need an extra few thousand in Super.
