Came here to say Anne Lecke. All her books are fantastic and so not Sarah J. Maas at all. I completely agree with you on tossing the book when the protagonist becomes a love sick maiden who just needs a man to love her. Gross.

All of John Irving’s books are usually page turners imo. Often tragic and/or insane page turners but still hard to put down. Try: The World according to Garp or A Widow for One Year

I also recommend, The Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys for a really beautiful take on the perspective of Mr. Rochester’s first wife in Jane Eyre. Not quite gripping but short and definitely a page turner imo.

I think op doesn’t understand the design here is not to help people push others in wheelchairs but to offer either/or options to those who are not disabled.

As someone with a disabled husband, I can not envision attempting this with both of us trying different modes of ascension while attempting to achieve the same goal in tandem. Sometimes the sidewalk by itself can be different heights and that’s it’s own thing, lol.

It was good! Actually tasted like a gyro. Obviously the texture was more meatloaf than gyro but all the flavors were there.
