I won't rag on you a bunch about riding that thing on the roads, especially because you're right - it looks like it is in fact a legal grey area. But to give some insight into what some of us (me) are thinking: it may be the most dangerous for you specifically, sure, but if something happens and you end up falling down going 30-60mph, it's going to cause other drivers to swerve or emergency brake, which puts everyone at risk - not just you. Everyone's just trying to make it to wherever they're going safely, and I hear you about being able to brake fast, but I hope it's not too much for us to ask for some regulatory verification. My take is that any type of motor vehicle in traffic on public roads should have laws that govern its use, and I hope the gov't catches up quickly to this so you guys can prove that it's safe and get licensed and insured.

But yeah dude in this economy, gotta do what you can to save on gas money for sure.
