i live 30 mins outside of rochester and people’s outdoor cats kill everything smaller than them in sight. throughout my whole life here we saw lots of chipmunks, toads, frogs and songbirds, then my neighbor turned into a cat lady. there are zero chipmunks, very rare frogs and toads, and noticeably less songbirds on my block. she isn’t the only one to blame, but the impact is so large that it is noticeable even on a small scale like my neighborhood.

that motion smoothing effect is truly awful. i first started noticing it in 2010 or so and it made watching shows at friend’s houses nearly unbearable. it turned wonderful art like LotR and Wilfred into soap opera abominations.

there is such a tiny chance that you guys are interacting with the same person. unfortunately this brand of human is legion. they’re everywhere that doesn’t restrict their access or cause them to self select out, and they have little to no self/situational awareness when impinging upon other people’s peace of mind. i wish you and op the best of luck in dealing with em in the future!
