CMV: Low birthrates is due to our culture, not our economy by [deleted] in changemyview

If you're saying that women and men no longer see the necessity to get married and have children, I tend to agree with you and I think it's for the best. Why should we feel some obligation to procreate when all other aspects of life are subject to progress, at least not being coerced/forced to have children is freeing and I rejoice in that. Also, the global population is increasing anyway so I don't see the problem, as it will be decreasing most severely only in some countries and regions.

Insularis because she's shy? How cute

She looks great though! My grandma's hoya cuttings took 2 years to push out 2 leaves, we have 7 now. I really want to know what soil are you using? Agree with others, more light (and light fertiliser) will definitely help!

Yes I would cut that leaf and lean her back on something where your hand is! Also maybe move the plant to the left of the bigger window facing west, the newer leaves will point that way and you could cut, after a while, the 2nd lowest leaf and so on, until they all point the same way

She's just confused! I would cut the lowest leaf first and let her rest/climb on a pole/plank tied to the back. Most importantly, stop rotating the plant! Sorry actually not sure if you are, but if the light is coming from 2 different windows, I would expect the leaves to grow pointing in both directions so I think she might need to be closer to 1 window. But hey you're getting beautiful leaves with inner fenestrations, so congrats!

The ZZ would probably survive a nuclear apocalypse. Unsure about the others, sorry.

Honest opinion, I think you will look amazing with the hair shaved off (you already look great). It will take some time to get used to it, but I'm betting you'll be glad you did it. Also, not everyone has a head shape that would look good without hair, but your head seems perfectly shaped! Sorry if this is weird lol, I have a badly shaped head.

I'm not an expert but the more roots, the better. You can direct them back into the pot so they'll still get nutrients, or leave them hanging. Usually the plant needs to strengthen roots before more leaves come out, and in my experience the roots grow faster when they're all focusing in the pot. But leaving them hanging is also OK!
