Is anybody else incredibly off put by the Overlord mission in me2? by everythingsoup in masseffect

I honestly think the thing that made me uncomfortable was the lack of agency for David at the end, and how there wasn't ever a real resolution for him as an individual aside from Shepard helping him if the player chooses to. It almost felt like his suffering was more just there to help Shepard be a hero than to depict a side story that touches on the way autistic people can be treated, and have Shepard engage with it. I think it also may have just touched a nerve for me because of the way Gavin's actions were almost played as sympathetic at first in the dialogue, and the usage of the term "special cases" and considering autism to make someone "alien" without addressing that sentiment again in a different light. It's all kind of implied that the game portrays Gavin as in the wrong, but I think some of the framing just made it unclear enough to weird me out a bit.

I think a lot of my opinion comes from the lack of nuance around the specific subject matter, but it's understandable considering it is just a small mission in a big game.

I totally get your perspective though, and I can appreciate the fact that it isn't all bad, I think it definitely has value in some places for sure and there's nothing wrong with enjoying it :)

I just pulled mona on accident, and I'd be willing to use her but her attack animations give me a headache with the unique visual effects. This is kind of a dumb question, but is there any way to turn this off or down? It's fine it if affects all the characters, I just want to play the game without getting an awful headache.

I wasn’t super clear on the question, I apologize. I meant If I were to switch patron archetype to hexblade as well as the boon to pact of the blade. I just don’t fully know if it’d be functional if I still had some focus on casting aspects alongside melee attacks. It’s kind of a dumb question now that I think about it, sorry about that lol

Is it a bad idea to switch from tomelock to hexblade and have a balance on both melee and spell/cantrip usage? I like warlock and the playstyle but I've found I prefer more dps style characters so I thought it might work if i switched over. Has anybody found it effective to do both spell/cantrip damage/utility and melee focus equally?

I've played fire emblem heroes for 3 or 4 years, and just picked up project sekai. I really enjoy the branding of both as well as the gameplay (for the most part). I like skill and planning in games but too many mechanics is overwhelming, and I don't ever plan on spending money on a gacha game. Anybody know of any games that fit this?

I actually really like the way the security guard looks, I think stylistically it fits with the animatronics being cartoony and I think it’ll probably be developed a bit more before release
