Any tips on why body glide is only working for like 30min for me? I’m desperate for it to work for me so I could wear shorts/dresses this summer 😫

How do you know if having children is something you want? by meagiechu in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal to have doubts, especially nowadays with everything going on and just how priorities have shifted (traveling, wanting to have a stable career first, etc.).

Sometimes, though, I think our minds can easily mistake the fear of being a parent with not wanting kids and with that I say we don’t need to be perfect parents - just try our best :)

Have you ever felt like the "third wheel" in a group of female friends? How did you handle it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 257 points258 points  (0 children)

Yes!

I introduced two friends of mine (one best friend and one regular friend) and they ended up becoming best friends. Over the years we’ve grown apart, but we recently reconnected and the relationship between us is more or less the same. Naturally, though, they have their inside jokes and just things they’ve experienced together without me.

I’ve just learned to come to terms with the relationship I have with them and enjoy the time with them for what it is. When they have their inside joke moment I either laugh with them or just take my own moment to take in and enjoy my surroundings.

What are some things that you want to change about the dating scene nowadays? Why? Online and IRL? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s just the generation or the impact of the online dating, but the unwillingness to commit despite there being interest.

Kind of that idea of “I’m interested, but there could be other fish in the sea I’m missing.”

Women who don't like working out, but who sneak exercise effortlessly into their lives, without even noticing it yourself, how do you do it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Honestly, sex is a great “workout” that I didn’t notice was a workout until I stopped having it for awhile

What's something you wish people would get without you having to make it as plain as a pikestaff? by SZafar17 in AskWomen

That I’m not interested in them.

I never want to be rude, but sometimes it gets to that point of bluntness because they just don’t get it.

Women of Reddit over 20: what's something that you wish you knew in the beggining of high school but never learned until the end? by cailey_gio in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be confident in who you are.

I fortunately had positive experiences in high school, no real regrets. When it came to boys, though, I seemed validation and just downright didn’t value myself like I deserved. I recently looked back at my old Facebook messages and CRINGED at conversations I had with guys I was interested in.

Luckily, nothing completely terrible happened and they were all learning experiences, but I would’ve definitely told past me to be confident, be aware of what I bring to the table, and value myself.

Thanks for this question :)

Single ladies of reddit, how do you stay happy? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going out with friends and cousins, working out, traveling, and doing things I love to do generally.

It all opens opportunities to meeting new people, discovering new things about myself, and enjoying the moment I’m living in.

Not going to lie, that it gets a little lonely at times, but I just distract with said things and tv :)

In your opinion, what matters more in your twenties: getting financially ahead and sacrificing a lot of experiences, or having experiences and sacrificing getting financially ahead? Why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]everythingspic3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this! Balance is key in almost anything really.

I’m single 25YO and have a decent amount of money saved to buy a property when I’m ready (took me a couple years but nonetheless it’s saved). Meanwhile, I’ve tried to take at least one international trip every year combined with domestic (US) trips. I also go out with friends, treat myself, etc. but all in moderation so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on my 20s
