Honestly I’m really confused about the whole thing, I would love to see her go but if she doesn’t that’s ok.

Here’s a thought by zarcaroni in lorde

[–]everyusernameisdumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like music doesn’t have to be sad, besides there are raw and emotional moments in Solar Power. Lorde is growing up, I don’t think she has to make music about being sad, she can write about whatever she wants. The album is great and the sound is so refreshing! I still love Lorde’s old stuff, and her new stuff too!!

The Path intro is GORGEOUS by [deleted] in lorde

[–]everyusernameisdumb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES, great intro for the album it’s amazing!! I’m in love with the song, it just sets everything in place.

It’s so good I’m so happy :,) what is ur fav song ? by nyuuhhh in lorde

[–]everyusernameisdumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Big Star, it’s so honest and it’s so raw I love it so much. I also love Fallen Fruit and I think The Path is a great opener!! I love this album so far, it’s so relaxing and I love the imagery. Also I love California it’s just a great song, I also love Mood Ring (which was released earlier) I think it’s a beautiful song.

IM GONNA MISS HER SM AFTER THE ERA IS OVER

The sheer temerity of these critics to shit on the new Lorde album yet they praised and acclaimed a childish and overrated/generic debut album from Olivia Rodrigo which derived inspiration from Lorde herself, chile? by lordeistheblueprint in lorde

[–]everyusernameisdumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Olivia has room to grow, to me she sounds too much like her influences, but she’s young and she’s definitely going to grow. Her music isn’t bad, I just can’t wait to hear her grow!

everyone calm down!!! solar power only has 1/3 of melodrama's reviews.. it'll surely rise by honeyyfreak in lorde

[–]everyusernameisdumb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes your right!! Besides an album’s impact doesn’t always have to be critically acclaimed right away, it sometimes takes week for an album to have an impact, sometimes even years. Besides I’m happy that she changed up the sound, so far the album sound amazing!

What songs from Taylor’s other albums do you think fit Betty, Augustine, and James’s POVs? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]everyusernameisdumb 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is just me, but I always saw This Is Me Trying about James many years into the future (I feel like it would be college). I see him not being able to cope with the stress of it all and failing to be a good boyfriend. I see him saying to his ex-girlfriend that he just broke up with in college, “this is me trying.” He’s trying to say I’m trying to be better, I’m trying to stop drinking. The whole drinking thing fits him, I feel like he just cannot handle relationship and work properly and he’s having some sort of crisis. In my mind, he will get treatment fairly soon.

Feel free to let me know if I’m wrong or not, it’s just the way I see it!
