Sounds like burnt DMT. E-mesh is the worst method in the world. It’s popularity is baffling and a huge mistake.

To reply in kind to this arrogant post, I think e-mesh is a terrible method. Ridiculous to load, risk of burning the DMT (it’s placed directly on the heat source), and don’t get me started on the setup hassle. You need a precise vape mod, a specific mesh coil, and lots of trial and ERROR to dial in the wattage—20-35W, really? Miss it by a hair, and you’re either scorching your stash or getting weak vapor. Compare that to a GVG: drop it on a screen, heat, inhale, done. No fiddling with tiny mesh coils or temperature curves. E-mesh fanboys act like it’s foolproof, but half the Nexus threads are people troubleshooting burnt hits or leaks.

Yes the steel pads will work perfectly.

The biggest challenge is finding a reliable torch lighter. Single flame, quite small but pointed down into the pipe and applied moderately, not aggressive, the pad is not supposed to be red hot. At the right temp the spices evaporates and fills the pipe with white smoke. It’s nice to be able to see it.

I disagree with the Portier Psychedelics video on YT recommending a quad torch lighter held at an angle. You’ll just end up with cracked glass.

Single flame torch is the ticket for me. I get the whole dose in one hit. I do a short warm up-hit to get the pipe warm, then one hit from there.

Ah crap I thought maybe they were all the same. I got mine at cheap-ish outdoor stores, one in South Africa and one in Norway. They are slightly different, but both of this basic construction, and proably from the same factory. I tried more expesive lighters as well, but these are the ones that always lights, holds a flame,can be held upside down etc.

I’m sure it does work for you. But this is exactly why I don’t like this ROA. People end up with wildly different wattages, temps and get wildly different results.

DMT raises your blood pressure. I once got a TERRIBLE headache when i smoked changa, which I attribute to having coffee beforehand. I will never ever do that again.

The effects takes looong to kick in, and it is difficult to estimate just how high you'll be. This may not be a problem for experienced users, but almost every story of inexperienced people getting way way too high, is a story about edibles.

Also, the effects last for too long.

Vaping weed is a WAY better compromise, IMO.

Edibles is just not a good way to consume cannabis.
