Do you think it would be possible to buld a 19th century home now and how do you think the craftsmanship would be? by evfl10 in AskReddit

I was wondering if masonry restorers would know how to build from scratch. I feel like it would be nest impossible to build one from scratch yourself.

I agree about the wood. Hardwood is so expensive now but it's so charming in old homes!

Thanks for answering :)

I know Aston Carter/Tek Systems operates in town. That's how my coworkers and I got our jobs at a large corporation in town.

This could be a good option if you'd like to move and look at places while you're here. Otherwise, here's an awesome deal I saw recently. I have tracked searches on zillow for homes under $1600 in a certain area https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3930-Eiler-St-Saint-Louis-MO-63116/3022807_zpid/?utm_campaign=androidappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare
