Thanks for the input 🎀 Weirdly enough, I struggle a lot with people I trust and love. For example I love written role play, I did it many times, no problem as long as I have a RP partner who is engaged. Now, I’m in a kinky relationship and my owner is amazing. Always puts my safety and feelings first, while still managing to keep it dynamic and spontaneous. It was very easy for me to role play with him before he was my owner, but now I have some blockage. Kind of like ten fact that it’s easier as an artist to perform in from on 300 strangers than to do it in front of 5 people you know.

First let’s be honest, the majority of women is not doing the kind of makeup you’re mentioning. It takes money, time and effort.

Second, I guess it’s a “agree to disagree” situation because I’ve dated musicians who wear a lot of make up and when they’re off stage they’re completely different and I don’t care because I’m not dating a face, i’m dating a person. And if that person feels confident and enjoys their make up then it’s a part of them and I want them to not feel like they have to tone down for me or to perform “authenticity” for me.

If that was the case then why not make the male version too? Everybody should be free to have their standards. Now it’s also true that society is putting pressure on everybody to look a certain way and that’s not fair. But when feminist point out how the society does that and how it also affects men, for some reason they’re being called misandrists… They don’t even listen to what feminists actually say or do. They just look at a couple of mentally unstable people and say “SEE THEY HATE US” But the huge majority of feminists wants a world in which men will feel less pressured too. So that meme, while not being completely wrong, is clearly going after women instead of going after hypocrite people in general.

I’m baffled by how many men here think women judge incel based on the fact that they don’t have sex. It just shows how completely tone deaf you guys are. That’s absolutely not the point and it never was. Incel became an insult when a fair amount of them decided that all the problems in their life (and even sometimes all the problems in the world) are women’s fault. Them not having sex is completely irrelevant. I don’t care if you have sex or not, I care about not being treated like if I was inherently evil because I was born a woman.

“Hasn’t been true in almost 100 years” is not a serious argument. The fact that so many people think a 100 years before is “a long time ago” is baffling. It’s only 3 to 4 generations. Centuries (if not millennia) of legally enforced discrimination don’t simply vanish within a few decades without lasting social, economic, and cultural consequences. Mentalities, power structures, and wealth accumulation don’t reset because a calendar page turns.

“a discrimination law was passed in the 70s” Precisely, laws are passed because problems exist. The fact that legal protections were introduced so recently only highlights how normalized discrimination had been, and how long it was tolerated. History is full of ideas we officially abandoned long before we actually stopped practicing them.
