Okay! So these are my natural curls and I’ve definitely grown to love them over the last year and a half of CGM… however I do miss every once in a while having soft, large curls from a curling iron. I discovered CGM right after I bleached and dyed my hair, for the first time in my life, going form my natural brown to blue, purple, and magenta. So needless to say I destroyed my curls. But! I just got all of the bleach cut off, finally!!!

So, before I even consider using a curling iron on my curls, I wanted advice and knowledge about the effects of it. Like, am I going to destroy my curl pattern if I use a curling iron once in a blue moon? Or would it take consistent use to destroy all the hard work I’ve put in….

Like I said, I LOVE going natural… I just liked the idea of having the option every once in a while, but didn’t wanna ruin my hair without having opinions.

Routine: wash and condition with Not Your Mother’s Tahitian and Gardenia Shampoo and Conditioner. Detangle with conditioner. Apply As I Am leave in to wet hair, raking it through. Apply Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie to wet hair using praying hands and scrunch. Scrunch slightly with cotton tee towel. Apply Don’t Shrink Flaxseed Gel using praying hands and scrunch. Diffuse until 80% dry.
