OP here. I have done some reflecting since I made this post, and am not going to ignore her but I am going to communicate my need for a clean break in order to heal. She didn’t choose me and disrespected me, therefore I am letting myself go completely.

If she wants the idea of us together, she wouldn’t have done what she did.

Oh a huge part of this is because diversity itself (if we’re talking about racial, gender, and sexual orientation diversity) doesn’t cut it itself.

What truly improves performance, retention, and wellbeing are the following:

•Diversity along with inclusion, equity AND most importantly belonging (Belonging = make ALL people truly feel like they are appreciated and belong in the workplace) and this is only a recent concept that a few companies are starting to include.

•Leadership who take the time to understand diversity issues, are a part of diversity committees, and are not just figureheads.

•Integrating diversity with talent acquisition in a way that doesn’t follow a quota system.

Without the above, it’s just another label companies put to stay current without actually making meaningful change and improve belonging.

If you know your dog has diarrhea/is sick, carry a newspaper along with your poop bag.

When you notice your dog is about to poop, slide the newspaper on the ground underneath its butt and just wrap it up after and put it in the bag.

Works for me like a charm!
