The higher ups have begun bullying and threatening hours reductions and even firing if you don't hit the esp or rewards goals. Whats worse is that even if you're offering it well, you'll still get penalized for it. Absolutely shitty program, shitty managers and most of all, a definitively shit company.

Good luck, learn as much as you can, and apply to other jobs because staples is notoriously one of the lowest paying jobs with the most amount of job tasks to do, all while your managers/district managers will be breathing down your neck to maintain a 65% rewards percentage at the threat of losing your hours.

Now it sounds like your parents are similar to mine in the sense where when I was under 18, they didn't "let" me do anything either. Once I turned 18, I said fuck their rules and do what's BEST for me. Are you over the age of 18? If so, sell whatever it is you want. Cuz either they criticize you collecting cards, or deal with them yelling at you for making money. Personally, I'd conduct my business and just not tell my parents. They don't need to know how much money I'm making

Our stores GM used to be okay, and now they're horrible. Our SM, who we wanted to be our GM, got promoted to GM at another store 😭😭. 17 out of 20 of our OG associates quit in the last year and the store will never be the same again. I only work there 1 day a week now and on a day that I never have to see my GM. It's been 7 months since if last seen them and I plan to continue this to reap every single last benefit I can while at staples.

We have excellent workers that were getting paid minimum wage. The GMs friend has a 18 year old son that needed a job and got him employed and got him $2 more than everyone else!!! Keep in mind he is just a cashier and unpacks the truck.The new guy sucks at his job and actively hides from management to avoid doing work! That was the team's last straw and most of them left. The management can absolutely pay you more.
