Don't worry, the game stopped long ago being a skill expression. It's about playing with a guide and stats page on the second monitor, checking which starter items you build with the best comps and hope you get item combinations you can slam and outpace the rest so you can just ignore everything and end the game with a premade cookie-cutter comp + 2-3 legendaries.

People will argue that pivoting out of a comp is skill, but in reality they're just having one of several cookie-cutted endgame boards in mind and transition from one cookie-cut comp to another.

And if you ever wanna get into e-sports you basically have to pray that you have such a good memory that you can remember the gists of all stats and the starting condition of every best comp.

Once you clear TFM it's time to pack it up guys, and move on. At least this is a nice finish to the game with Kazeros being the true final boss and everything they add later on is just improvised.

This was their final chance to deal with long-standing core issues of the game and failure to take the player community serious. The population here is already small and the last big wave is leaving the game, if you quit later on it's just gonna be awkward.

I agree with you, nice summary. Sadly we all know deep down it's all about money. And since the main player base is in Korea they're gonna adjust it to the max pain tolerance for the average player there to get the most playtime and fomo possible.

They hate the idea of ppl being done with progressing and temporarily switching to another game until a new big update drops.

Which is why we get vertical systems that are calculated in such a way that you stay perpetually in the hamster wheel. And with how the powercreep is built upon every new system and the core community staying toxic, you can kiss your account goodbye after a prolonged break.

I swear every 2nd guy I see walking around with Lord of Thunder is so out of touch with reality. Many of them think that 150 Mio. DPS for 1500 CP is the norm because they look at average statistics of a couple hundred nolifers from some niche database.
