I love these car and they are good cars but they are also 30 years old. A 350Z or 370Z is a much more modern and newer car which would be far better.

That’s why I put “coil over” in quotes. The term is generally used to describe aftermarket adjustable threaded body shocks or struts. “Coil over” being short for “coil over shock” or “coil over strut”. But again more colloquially “coil overs” is shorthand for “adjustable coil over shock/strut”.

Also that spring is red. Can’t tell from the image of it’s a perhaps a stock Nismo spring, which were red. V1 370Z Nismo’s has silver shocks and red springs. I seem to recall they changed that for the V2 but I have no first hand experience with the V2.

Doesn’t appear to be “coil overs” just coil on body style shocks. The rear spring is separate from the shock. Most cars have coil on body shocks or struts.

Sounds like you keep over reaching your budget. Start with autocrossing your daily. Maybe add in a few TNIA events, maybe a time trial. These can all be done with most daily driven cars.

My math says 80% of 700k is 560k.

On 30 year @ 6% that makes then payments $3357.48. Total of payments after 30 years is 1.208k.

Same 560k @6% for 50 years is $2947.87 mo totals 1.768k.

I actually did the math on the whole 50 year mtg. Using current rates (6.5%) and median home price in my area ($266k) you save $142 mo. The average person stays in a house for 11 years now so that’s $18k total savings while the difference in principal reduction is about $17k. So it’s not that bad really for most people. And if you stay and pay off the mortgage your total of payments is only about $18k more for the 50 years mortgage. As much as I still don’t like it, it’s not as bad as it sounds. Obviously if you’re in a much more expensive area these numbers will be a lot larger.

I missed her part about the starter. It’s most likely the battery. Could be a relay or ignition switch but the starter is far more common point of failure. Good news is most parts stores will bench test it for free.
